Worst game. Seriously WHAT!? Why not just make a NEW character and put HIM in Arthurian legend?
Seriously! I think Sonic was a good series...until SEGA raped every ounce of it's magic out of it...

I love sonic games! Always need a new thing to laugh at.
But...but some of them are so infuriatingly bad that you can't laugh...The last one was so bad that Yahtze couldn't even get excited about it...And he only gets excited from greatest and horrible, undigested lumps...and Sonic Unleashed was worse than THAT
Gah... guess your right buddy...

Here's an idea, instead of killing them, why not force them to play every Sonic game they seem to "poop" put every year?

I'm sure the ending result would be a boost in calls to the suicide hotline...

At the very least, they'd see the error of their ways and make a GOOD Sonic game in the style of Mega Man 9 =D

So very surprised about something we knew about in October of last year [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.73702]. You even pretty much used the same link.

Doing a search over the net, Sonic Unleashed sold about 1.86 million copies across all platforms. To put that in perspective, a game like Final Fantasy XII managed 5.09 million on the PS2/PS3.

Yeah, Sonic Team's going to keep turning that money crank. You can shake your tiny fist at that and call it tripe, but apparently we're just not their key demo anymore.

If it's any consolation, Sonic Rush - a game that heralded back to 80s Sonic - sold about 2.47 million for a single platform. Sega should make more games like that, or so you'd think.

Hey that is how I felt when banjo-kazooie nuts and bolts came out.
But, my digress...they should have the common decency to KILL sonic. Instead of wringing out every last ounce of life then reviving him, wash, rinse, repeat. Until nobody will buy their games. So we must stop buying their games, I put it to you, the last sonic game I bought was for the Genesis and have denied any game henceforth.

Hm. I was actually not disappointed by this trailer. If the stuff they show is gameplay then I think this might actually be...playable?
It looks like you can run in open areas, something I've wanted to do in a Sonic game for a long time. It probably will be terrible though. But, maybe not. The sword mechanic looks kind of cool too.
How big is the Sonic universe at this point? I mean, it's like poke'mon. They just discover a new continent whenever they want to make a new game.

I'm always fascinated by how other people are surprised how greedy bastards are more than willing to extort a beloved franchise to make a few gs. Good thing Nintendo hasn't stooped this low.

I can only imagine how that meeting went at Sonic Team.
OK so turning him into a werewolf bombed, anyone else have an idea?
OH OH I KNOW!!!! Let's give him a sword and put him in the Age of King Arthur!!!

So Escapits I pose the question to you? Bad game or Worst game?
We already knew about this. It's the storybook series. First "Secret Rings," then "Black Knight," and then I'm not sure. It was announced back before Sonic Unleashed, but wasn't really spoken of. Anyway, if it's like "Scret Rings," then it'll be... well, decent (mostly copied from the comment I left on another thread about this).

There had better be enough Monty Python references to fill a dictionary if SEGA wishes to spark my interest in such a concept.
