Before Extra Credits

Im just wondering if anyone else knew about Daniel Floyd before his debut on the escapist.
I know he got his start on the website screwattack and posted videos he made for a class he took. And when I saw him on the escapist one day my jaw dropped and I shit my pants with glee. So discussion value hmmmmm......ok got one. Who here has watched him before he was on escapist and if so what is your favorite pre escapist episode? Mine is his video on the uncanny valley.

I once saw an episode of Extra Credits on Gametrailers long ago.

It was about sex in games... I didn't really find it that good, so I never tried to track the show down. But here on the Escapist they've made a few very good episodes.

I watched his "G.D.C. Working Title" segments before he started making them for the Escapist. I was quite delighted when he started making them regularly.

Like most, I didn't hear about him until watching that one video about ME2 here on the Escapist. Personally, I preferred his videos on YouTube, especially with his latest "anti-EA video" cementing the fact that I feel like a pretentious jackass for even listening to him.

Yeah, he had some awesome videos up o Youtube long before he showed up here. They were pretty good overall, but I like the consistency of a video every Thursday right here on the Escapist. It gives the team a more consistent audience to interact with (and draw topics from), and it also means that Mr. Floyd et al. are all here every week.

As for my favorite pre-Escapist episode, I'm not really sure. It's been a while since I watched them (although the uncanny valley episode the OP mentioned was certainly a good one).

Yes indeed. Like Yahtzee and Zero Punctuation, the Extra Credits crew had a thing going on YouTube that's basically the same as what they're doing now. You should check them out, they talk about a few things they haven't gotten around to yet in Extra Credits--such as girl gamers and how they should be treated and marketed to.
