My parents were going to name me Christian, but my dad ended up naming me Sean, which by the way is a great name in my opinion.

My parents were going to call me Rebecca, but they decided on Emily when I was born. I have no idea what they would've called me if I had been a boy though since they didn't know what gender I would be prior to when I was born.

That's my dad's name funnily enough.

Holy shit, I was gonna be called Oliver, but I was named Alexandre (french for Alexander).

I actually wish I was named Oliver, Alex is wayyy too common.

If I was to be born a girl I would have been named Alison, a name my dad insisted on. He told my mom it was because it was a really pretty name, when in reality he wanted to name me after the Elvis Costello song.

Gandalf.

I really wish I was joking. I'm quite happy I got the very plain Tom instead.

They had settled on my name for the most part, though early on my dad wanted me to be a junior. "Charles Wayne McHenry, Jr." My mom didn't want that, though. However, if I had been born a girl, I found out I would have been named Alicia Danielle McHenry.

Initially my parents were going to name me Tobias, because mom has always liked that name. Then my great grandfather who raised her died about a month before I was born, so I was instead named after him.

Aaron.

Be glad. You probably missed out on a ton of Animorphs jokes.

That or Zack, which is a cursed name, because everyone I know named Zack is a complete wanker!
Really? The Zack I know is working for a major airliner as a pilot at the age of 23. On top of that he is pretty awsome guy. We must live in parallel worlds or something.

Seamus (which I wouldn't have minded) or Steven (which I would have). I'm quite happy being a Brendan.

My Dad wanted to call me Bubba. Fortunately Mum stepped in before he got near the birth certificate.

Not even joking on this one, although I wish I was.

Well my parents knew straight out they wanted to do a smaller version of my father...
"THEY FAILED, AS THEY WERE THROWN DOWN TO THE GROUND!"
On the other hand, my pseudonym I would have liked as my standard name. Just cause Serrant sounds cooooool
