I usually play the good guy...all the way up until I'm fed up with someone. Then they get what they have coming. I can not tell you the number of times saved and loaded just so I could let off steam by killing everyone inside Tenpenny Tower.

and then when I load again and have the ghouls do it I come back a bit later and all of the GOOD humans are dead. Looks like it's time for some more spring cleaning!

I will always be a "good guy" on my first playthrough of a game. I find it much more enjoyable that way. I alway tell myself that I will do an "evil" playthrough afterwards but I only ever ended up doing that on KoTOR 1 and 2. It just isn't as satisfying being bad.

That bad karma noise in Fallout 3 really annoys me. Almost as much as the bad deed itself. So that makes me have to be the good guy in Fallout 3. Oh yeah, that and Liam Neeson's praise.

Yeah, it's better playing good. I don't really think that any game designer has portrayed villainy well yet anyway.

There should at least be a gray game where we get to play as someone like Lelouche.

I was just reminded about moral choices in games that aren't RPGs. Like in Assassin's Creed II, as someone mentioned before, I have no sympathy for Archers. These are MY FUCKING ROOFTOPS! HOW DARE YOU EVEN TRY TO TELL ME OTHERWISE!
*composes self*
[sub]Archers deserve everything that comes to them.[/sub]

Back to RPGs, regardless of whether I'm good or evil, I turn into a crazy kleptomaniac whenever I play a RPG. Not being able to open doors or containers really does drive me crazy at times. Especially if they're in a location you can't revisit after you've boosted your lockpick/security.

I just do what my first gut instinct tells me to do. Usually that equates to "annoying NPC needs to die" but if that's not an option I'll usually choose the neutral choice in dialog. I'm fairly self centered, so I won't go out of my way to help you unless I get something out of it, but I won't go out of my way to be an asshole either.

No.

I'm always the good guy and help everyone I can.

I tried to go on a rampage in Fallout 3, but it was too depressing. I killed the Merchants outside of Megaton and when their Brahmen started to protect them, I just couldn't do it anymore.

I felt sad that I'm just randomly killing someone
This is exactly how it is with me. I can't, I feel too obliged to do good and too much like I am my character.

Recently I've grown a powerful concience that prevents me from doing a lot of amoral things, hence whenever I'm given a game with elements of 'Moral Choice' I end up just doing the good decisions and never stepping over to the dark side.
I dunno, I just can't let loose and just pretend that I'm justified in making the main character evil.

I generally go evil-neutral as I find very little reason to be evil when there's no awards but I can never resist the temptation to steal every object I find

I usually pick the neutral or good options. For some reason I can't bring myself to act like a total prick to everyone.

On any RPG that has good and bad choies I always play good then try evil (so that I have done both). This applies to all RPG's EXCEPT DA:O. I mean, I have played through getting everyone to like me and making sure I don't do anything that makes people go 'screw you I'm fighting on the other team', and yet, whenever I try and be a dick I go "... *goes to hit bad option* ... *hits imaginary force field between hand and button* ... *goes with good option instead* ... Godammit!!!"

I always play the good guy, but every often it's save game, massive rampage, load game. Just to take out the frustration of doing thankless tasks like saving the world by myself.

I make my moral decisions in games based on how I would deal with them in real life.

What I do is go all good all the way with a few bits of "haha fuck you" along the way. Though every now and then I'll be in a bad mood... I save my game, drop everything I'm doing and find the nearest town. I then go on an omnicidal rage. EVERYTHING WILL DIE! D< Then I feel better again and reload my previous save. :3

Can't play evil... ruins the fun of the game. Games are an escape, they let me feel as if I have a positive impact on the world; therefore, evil ruins that.
ahmen I see enough evil dickheads in the world in real life. when I play a game I want to be the guy that makes things right.
(maybe not in the nicest way possible but stil the good guy)

I find it slightly easy to be the dick in games.

I mean, my first game where I got to be an utter and total dick was any game from the Ultima Series. I COULD HAVE gone through the main story line, but no, I decided to steal people's shit and kill everyone for their goods. In Fallout, when I get fucking mad, I just save the game and commit a total town massacre, then restart knowing that I need some of the people.

I also tip Brahmin because it's fun, though I try not to kill a lot of the animals, unless I need food.

I feel no remorse for what happens in the video game world. That's why it's so easy for me to kill everyone in the strip club and hang out there with a rocket launcher, just blasting everyone that comes in. Or to go to where the hobos hang out and just run them over with my truck.

In Fable, I tend to be a dick too.. cheat on my wife with dudes.. cheat on the dudes with a new wife... do a couple of quests so they like me again and then start all over.

Plus the sword you get from killing your foster sister in the end is too good to pass up.

In conclusion, it's the player's choice to be a dick or a saint.. or even neutral, it's just more fun to some people to be the dick.
