I dunno, it's just a hard gig because everyone is doing it.
This describes essentially every gig. I'm in research science and study nanotechnology. You'd think this would be an exciting place. The hardest question to answer is "Why should I care?" There is a glut of scientists and it is a challenge to stand out.

Nobody said it was easy.

I used to help a friend with an art blog; it got pretty popular, before moving to another website. He's told me it's still posting, and now it's rapidly gaining popularity.

For the first 4 weeks we did it, it was very hard. Most of the comments we got were either trolls using copy-pasted messages or bots advertising breat-bounce-powered batteries.

I suppose... keep trying. Maybe even post some things on social media sites and ask for feedback. I'm not sure if you can post on here without permission, though. It is a private website.

Try try and try again. The Beatles were one of the most prolific bands, and that contributed to their success and much as their talent.
Yeah, still not true. The "Reality" one kind of implies "After a few failures, success is guaranteed." Nothing could be further from truth. It doesn't account for the fact that sometimes, a fail costs you enough that you can't try again. Now obviously, that's not the case with blogging most of the time, but...for one, if anyone has any extra hours in the day they're not using, I'm totally buying <.<

On the contrary - the Reality panel does account for that - you just don't continue after one of the red signs. Of course, "guaranteed" would be as in "a possibility" - a lot of times you just stop at one of the fails and don't go further. But the prospect is there.

There's a difference between not continuing because you gave up while you still had the means, and not continuing because you can't just run on sheer willpower alone. That's what I meant. Plenty of just world fallacy in there.

Besides, if it was me, I'd replace "win" with a grave...cause that's at the end of the line *chuckle*

For a cheesy answer I'll say that progress should be measured by how you improve as an artist.

Since this is the Internet, I'm afraid the amount of clicks you get is what I'll say.

But don't think that views produce creativity, it's the otherway around. The amount of time for this to happen is diffrent for everyone, and luck factors in a lot when trying to be famous.
