Well if it's girls, I like it up to a certain point. If it's a dude, I give him the one-eyebrow look. (As in, "What are you lookin' at?")

Last time I was stared at it was, thankfully, a girl. So I just enjoyed the attention and pretended not to notice until I left the area. I didn't make anything more of it though because honestly she wasn't that attractive :/

I'm in China and prefer cycling above public transport, A DutchMAN needs his mighty steed at his side, else he is nothing. Normally I would request they airdrop my own bike in. Sadly I have neither the monetary, political and lord knows what other powers necessary at my disposal to do so. So I'm stuck with this thing.

You know what? I prefer you're reasoning. So let?s go with that one shall we? Yea I?m training to be a clown.

Last night, I was driving around downtown, and ALOT of people are around and about. I come up to a red light and this chick gives me the dirtiest look (possibly racist, I'm hispanic and she could be an extremist racist). She stares at me even though I make eye contact with her and I even point to her for my friend in the car and he does as well. She is hanging out with 3 people I suspect to be her friends and one maybe her boyfriend. They're all talking with each other but she stares at me until I leave he sights. Yes, she was staring at me when she was in my rear-view mirror. I was about to say "What the f*** are you looking at?" to her but I didn't want to deal with anyone at 10:30 on a Saturday night.

I'm tall, not exactly thin, but I'm very capable of blending in. The only time people stare at me is when I elicit their attention (I have been told that my personality is rather random and amusing). Don't worry about being stared at, usually it just means that the person in question doesn't understand your situation and is baffled by something that you're doing. Staring is a natural human response to something that we don't understand, just continue what you're doing and shrug it off.

So lately I'm being stared at by everyone when riding round town on my bike.
Granted I'm 2m tall and the only bikes I can rent are tiny. But still, staring is rather rude and I'm already self-conscious enough as it is.

I try to just shrug it off and either wave at them if they're girls (which is always met with hysterical laughter...... which is never good for a man's ego). Or I use the universally accepted nod of approval if it's guys (one of them in complete bafflement of me acknowledging his existence decided that the best course of action was to salute me....... which was weird).

So my question to you guys and gals is: When was the last time you were suddenly thrown into the center of attention and how did you deal with it?

ps
This should be search bar approved, sorry if it isn't.
I get stared every time unfortunately, maybe because my face has an outlandish look to it?

When people stare at me, I stare back. I have a really, really unsettling stare. I can break a mans mind with my stare, so that usually works.

It doesn't happen to me very often though. I'm good at not being noticed.
That is what I do actually, however it happens every time so I do use it, say, 2 times a day?

I spent a few hours with a purple ribbon in my hair to support Relay for Life. My reaction when people brought it up: "there's something in my hair?"

"The fuck are you looking at? See something you like here?! You got a problem Man?! You want to go?! Come on!"
When someone stares at you, just freak out. That turns their head real fucking quick.

When people stare at me, I simply whip it out ignore it. Unless it's a girl, then definitely.

But in all serious-ness, I do ignore it. But it is rather unnerving to be gawked at.

I was working at the family restaurant and dropped a tray of plates, which always leads into an impromptu sing-along to "Hap[py Birthday to You"

I ask very loudly "what!?". Other times I'll quietly ask "something wrong?" It depends on how I'm feeling that day.

Frankly, learn to shrug it off and not give one flying shit what total strangers think of you. You don't know them, you wil never know them so why give a crap what they think? Thicker skins all round...

I tend to stare back, and don't know when to look away.

Not sure why, just seems to be a naturel reaction.

I also have the habit of zoneing out, makeing it seem like I stare at people.

My reputation as a creepy creepy person is one well attained.

If I think they're morons I ignore them, if it is someone I dislike/like very much, I stare back. I once stared at a bunch of little girls for 30 minutes because they sat up the back of the bus despite the fact that there were plenty of seats away from the seniors area.

A lot of girls like a guy who can make them laugh. Don't assume the laughter is all negative...

I get stared at all the time because I'm on a stage or in the public eye fairly often. I only ever got genuine stagefright the first time I ever did a performance (I was 14) but these days I can do anything on a stage with no problems, performing, public speaking, interviews, whatever really. I'm kind of used to people staring and it's not even like I consciously ignore it, I just don't really notice it anymore. They can stare if they want. It's when people come up to me and start saying stupid things.... that can become a problem, but if they just want to look - hey, great. Whatever turns them on I guess.

happen to me on the bus. It turn into a staring contest. I think i won but it really was close, so we would have needed a referee. At the end, i swear, i saw pink elephant and rainbow dots everywhere.
