he lives in adelade, and for the record he is a wanker.
Imagine that scene: "Hello Mr Croshaw. I like your reviews. But, for the record, I'd have to say that you're a wanker. Thank you. Good bye."

Should have glomped him.
No, one should never resort to the action of glomping.
Ever.
Unless you're in an episode of the A-Team.

Aside:
I was actually expecting pictures or something ironic in this thread. Bit of a let-down.

You guys make it sound like Yahtzee is a mythical beast, who's mystery is trying to be unraveled by the Discovorey Channel.

OMG YOU SAW YATZHEE?!?! :p but seriously...he does have to live SOMEWHERE :) All celebrities do...i once was in the same town as Bill Bailey :)
I've seen Bill A LOT. I live in the same village that he grew up and went to school in etc. Seen him in the Hunter's Rest many a time :D

He's about the only celebrity I've seen in real life though, excluding performances of course.

Is there a difference? You might want to change your attitude if you want to not get banhammer'd in the future.

Anyway, why is it that there are a disporportionate amount of people from Yahzee's hometown on the Escapist?

Yahtzee has been dead for the last year. Game Damage was an attempt by his two friends to cash in on his fame, weekend at bernie's style. Hence the lethargic, poor performance put into the pilot. If you look close enough, you can see the strings.

The Escapist uses powerful, ancient technology to create Yahtzee-esque scripts and voice them in a manner strikingly similar to his previous efforts in order to keep their own cashcapades going.

Cause of death? Awesome poisoning.
um wut?

I'm pretty sure that all celebrities live in a giant space station so they never have to mix with the common people and give them the pleasure of seeing them. I think Yahtzee's on the high atmosphere sub-space station where sub-celebrities wait while "they" decide if they're worthy of the celebrity space station.

If I did see him though, I would definetly call his name and look away and see if he looked around.

Well its not like he doesn't take every oppurtunity to insult us. I gave him a list of games he needed, and he called me a Monkey Slave. That's wanker behaviour in my book.
out of my many years of going to concerts and conventions and meeting celebs, i've found one thing that they enjoy the most and that's not treating them like a big star, it's just treating them like a regular person.

most of them don't mind saying "hey i'm a fan and i loved (something relevant to their career)" and not being a total fanboy in front of them. most of the time i see them and you ask them how things are and treat them like a person they will spend time talking to you. if you go into fanboy they politely smile and wave.

as for Yahtzee and his shtick of insulting us is just his way of doing stuff. if you ever see Mike Patton on stage he can be rather insulting sometimes, however in person he's a pretty awesome guy and really smart and funny and apparently thinks i have an odd taste in music.

I didn't really expect Yahtzee to be the insulting type 'out of character', but I guess it fits. Being called a 'monkey slave' after rendering him a service is rather disrespectful though and comes off to me as rather stuck-up/full-of-yourself as well really.

On the other hand if I ever get to meet Warren Ellis I'd fully expect to be verbally vomited over with some kind of statement over my being Dutch (as I'd thank him for coming up with the only Dutch super-hero in living memory as well as the foreword to Orbiter, which might earn me some brownie points but to blazes with it, okay).
