Jerks and manipulators can get by just fine without tact.
It's very important for manipulators, actually.

You have to put plenty of points into Charisma to be effective.
What of a barbed response or a twist on the truth? Still tactless (technically), but gets the point across.

I'm brutally honest when the situation calls for it but it's gotten to the stage where my friends and whatnot expect that kind of response so it doesn't bother them at all.

Basically they let me think like me and don't judge me for it.

Sounds like you're interpreting her words to seriously
What do you mean?
Well I might be interpreting you wrong because I have a lack of knowledge about your friend

but when you say this

Because she chose to use the words "punish", and "sin". Which gives her belief the moral high ground, and the "punishment", doesn't sound as severe.

I don't think she used the words as a way to express her moral superiority. However, her tone plays a bigger role than the words.

It sounds like she just gave you her honest belief

No i know that, she doesn't play word games like that. She's an honest girl. That wasn't what i was saying. She was told what to say by pastors and preachers and other people who have questionable intentions. At some point in the past the words were chosen to be more... beneficial to the cause, even if they're not... entirely accurate.

Well I'm a manipulative bastard, so bending meaning to my own benefit is sort of what I DO. However if I don't give a shit one way or the other I'll pretty much always tell the truth.

I'm with you on that one. When I say something, I don't bullshit. I say what I mean and that's all there is to it.
