Thats pretty much me.
Then you are a very good example of the point I made, most 'berserkers' would have to be quiet and calm otherwise you'd have nothing to compare their outbursts of anger and aggression to.

I don't seem to have this problem... in fact I can't remember the last time I was really, really angry with something. I just don't seem to have that big an emotional swing when things don't go my way. I think usually because I like to blame myself rather than become angry at things, so instead of reacting with anger it's more of a inward self-blaming. (Shrugs), it's how I've always dealt with things like that, but I'm glad that I don't lash out at things.

It happened to me once when some school buddies of mine played a prank on me.
However, I was still laughing while chasing them, so I don't know if it qualifies as a real Berseker-outburst.

I used to get those when I was a bit younger during the start of secondary school, but changing social circles seemed to have fix me up pretty good. I occasionally get flashes where I'm irrationally irritable, but nothing so bad as having 'Berserker Rages'.

...no, can't say I have. I hear "Berserk" and I immediately think of this guy:

Is that a picture of Guts? Your image is a dud.
Gah. Photobucket's useless.

I 'knew' it'd be from Fate Stay Night. Not because of the topic but because you posted it :p

If you can believe it, it's actually quite common for me. Usually randomly I'll emit a short burst of rage usually triggered by a minor annoyance or some kind of emotional stress to complex to really explain. By doing this I vent calmly and proactivley keeping myself sane, I like to think of it as a sort 'clean and fuel efficiant emotion venting'.
The same is also typical for spontaneous actions and spastic movements and word uses, all of which can be attributed to my ADHD and my Asperger's syndrome.

Eh. I wish I had that excuse.
I get incredibley angry, but I'm always aware of what I'm doing. Though sometimes I literally do things completley without thinking about it, I mean, like my body has a life of it's own. But, still aware, so I normally manage to control it, kinda like a coldness more then blacking out, or seeing red.
Just the feeling, that I gotta do something otherwise I'm guna burst. LIke punching a wall.......... or someone.

I feel that most people don't understand what it truly means to go "BERSERK".

People use the phrase to identify a time when they "lost their cool".

Going Berserk isn't "lossing your cool". Its becoming so overcome by rage and hate that you can't control yourself. Whether it be through a Trance, a Herb, or a Biological/Nerological condition isn't the point. The point is people don't seem to understand it.

I've "gone Berserk". It is not something I like but it happens. It usually happens during Fights, Strenuous Activities or just as a result of bottled up emotions culminating in a very violent outbust. (during which I've hurt people I care about)

The vikings had the Berserkergang, the Irish had an equivilent, as do most peoples of the world.

I want to know if anyone else on the Escapist has berserkergang and if so how do you control it.

I've tried:
Pills (didn't work to well)
Anger Management (Made me Angrier)
Music (Helps Ignore people but still get mad and i can't have it all the time)
Banging my head of a wall/Door/Tree (works the best but makes me look crazy & makes my head hurt)
Try meditation. Trust me, it works if you actually give it a chance.

I have and it cost me a few hundred pounds in expenses, as completely trashed the room. But music works for me, which is the reason why I almost always have an earphone in at all times.

<color=white>Line Break.

It's Berserker from Fate/Zero (Fate/Stay Night's prequel, about the previous Grail War). Where Fate/Stay Night's berserker was really Heracles, this guy turns out to be <color=white>Lancelot.

I've very nearly killed family members when I was younger, the only reason I didn't is that it takes a while to sledge hammer your way through a braced door when you're eight. It's also really exhausting, and the rage wore off eventually.

That said, really? The only reason I don't anymore is two very simple words: Self control. I don't hulk out anymore, because I simply don't LET myself. It's gotten to the point where I don't ever even really get ANGRY.

Then again, I don't really show any strong emotion, so... *shrugs*.

I do 'know' you, I just didn't know Fate/Zero existed in any shape, size or form. I should've expected that really. Ah, and it's only in Light Novel form which means it'll never see the light of day in England. Excellent. -_-

Yeah, closest we'll get is <url=http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Fate/Zero>this. At least some company has picked up Kara no Kyokai...

And, geez. Sometimes emoticons really don't clarify things. I can't tell if you're being wistful or sarcastic...

I kicked a hole in a wall in my house, I suppose I'd gone beserk then.
I also got through about 10 PS2 controllers because I kept throwing them at the wall when I got angry.

Sarcastic. And also, urgh, I hate reading prose off a monitor. If it's meant to be novelised, I much prefer the feeling of paper in my hands. Suppose I'll have to make do with what I've got though.
