Go with something heavy and blunt, like a bigass hammer, or a mace. Or a heavily armed vehicle.

Essentially a big, blunt object, they don't wear out and crippled zombies/zombies with their teeth caved in aren't much of a threat.

Spas-12 shotgun - because it's a shotgun, semi-auto, can hold good number of shells and when you run out it's made of pretty solid metal (clubbing time)

Plus you'll probably find a good melee weapon during your shotgunning time

Hm... I'll have to go with the AC-130 here. In all seriousness however, Crowbars are the way to go. Just look at our own Mr Freeman. He has scarred the mind and body of every zombies unfortunate enough to fall in his way.

An aircraft carrier. Once you've lifted anchor and made sure its cleared, I don't see anyone getting on board in the first place. Assuming Zombies can't swim and drive other boats of course.

If the outbreak is caused by an airborne pathogen? You'll be on a boat with potentially infected/infectable people

I'd say that the worst possible weapon would be Nunchucks. It would only give the zombies bruises, and if worst came to worst, you'd have to bludgeon yourself to death.

The best weapon though would have to be a Tommy Gun with barrel magazines. .45 caliber rounds shot at a decently high rate of fire, and if you can get yourself a suit and a cigar, you can kill zombies while looking like a true gangster. None of this modern, hold your gun sideways crap: just good ol' fashioned style. Yeaaaaaaaaaah.

In all seriousness a crowbar or a shotgun. Or throwing realism to the wind someone earlier mentioned a lasgun I'd like one of those. They may be called flashlights but against an unarmored target they are still pretty deadly.
