I find the lack of Anti-Spirals from Gurren Lagann disturbing.

Lets see: A group of what seem like god-like beings that have for thousands of years conquered the entire universe simply by stopping their own evolution, all because of the fear that too much evolution/lol Spiral Energy will collapse in on itself creating a super massive black hole that will end the entire universe. So what do they do? They either hunt down or look for these beings with evolution/lol Spiral Power, place satellites near planets that have suspiciously high levels of evolution/lol Spiral Energy so that if there is approximately 1,000,000 of these species will crash into their planet and annihilate every living thing. And if those species wanna wage war with them, they'll just commit suicide and turn themselves into origami pieces made of explosive matter, fight by breaking probability itself, and even go as far as to create alternate realities that stops them in their tracks ... just to get the job done. They use logic bending, total fear, and seas despair to subdue those with evolution/lol Spiral Energy. Ummm.... wow...

But the other "antagonist" prior to the ending of the series is interesting.
No, not the Spiral King or the beast men.

They describe those with Spiral Energy as the "Spiral Nemesis". Their "nemesis" actually wins in the end, the Anti-Spirals with AAAAAAAAALL their powers and abilities to bend logic itself actually lose. BUT their nemesis/the human race goes on living without ending the universe simply by not abusing their power, so the Anti-Spirals died with their fears put to rest. But to think what if the humans abused their Spiral Energy that seemed infinite? What if Simon didn't live by the promise to not abuse all that power when he won? It all could have just... ended. Thats scary.

The Galactic Republic from Star Wars. Yes, the "Good Guys". THe ones who create entire slave armies of children, lie to their own people about it, and then proceed to provide inadequate care to its troops. It doesn?t really matter if the Jedi consider the clones to be living beings worthy of respect; as soon as they signed-on to use people as property and slaves?as soon as they implicitly gave the nod to breeding humans for war?they acknowledged that, in some cases, living beings were objects, and any compassion shown was more to reassure their own guilty consciences than for the benefit of men bred to die.

Fun fact: There are no medical Clones. Those that can't work die.
Yeah.

Yeah.
You where saying?

"Clone trooper medics were specifically bred to treat their fellow clones who were injured. On Kamino, these clones were given specialized equipment and the Kaminoans instructed them on how to medically treat the clone body."

"They usually carried two vibroscalpels, one laser scalpel, and two laser cauterizers. They also had a backpack that contained numerous bandages and bacta products. The medics would often be accompanied by an FX-3 medical droid to assist in diagnosing and treating injuries. "

The Galactic Republic could be called Obstructive Bureaucrats, gradually becoming The Empire (Space Nazis.)

But they didn't mistreat their own vat grown, mentally conditioned thralls that badly.

An army that rapidly ages and upon death is readily replaced by a succeeding batch of grown troops means your army will never turn against your regime, since any that might have developed objections to your methods and ideology would have died and been replaced with a new 'recruit.'

Not trying to derail the thread, but yes, the Galactic Republic is guilty of many crimes. Representing the banality of evil on a Kafkaesque, bureaucratically political level.

Now back to your scheduled horror...

Now that is creepy.

I was using info from the amazing as fuck Karen Traviss novels, which show that minimal effort is shown saving lives.

Agreed.

Isn't the very first scene in the very first episode, a parallel universe where Simon decides to, you know, fight the entire universe?
