best: planescape: torment has nice digitized artwork, but it doesn't even need the artwork to stand out as one of the top RPGs of all time.

worst: age of empires(1) basicly has none of the convenient gameplay features, like production queuing, that we take for granted in RTSes now. I considered dune2, but since it's older than aoe and both have similarly primitive interfaces, so aoe still loses.

Best aged: Mario and Zelda. They haven't lost any of the fun over the years.

Worst aged: Deus Ex. It's practically unplayable now, although I can see what the appeal was back in 2000.

Best: spiderman ps1 (if you don't watch the second half of the final cutscene) and all the splinter cell games (wierd thing is i have only owned sony systems and I prefer splinter to metal gear.)

Worst: The 4th Crash game. it was frustrating and didn't have the spirit of the originals.

Worst aged:
gee, that's hard. The old racing classics such as the NFS series, the old Fifa games and old shitty shooters that were crappy to begin with such as Dead to Rights are really horrifying to play.

Best aged:
Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World
Diablo 2 + LoD
Jagged Alliance 2
C&C: Red Alert 2
Mega Man X3
The Max Payne games
and many, many, many more.

best aged Starcraft
This one, I am Still playing matches with mates like it only came out last month and it still remains challenging.

Worst aged would have been wii sports for me, but considering the rule i cant say that.
I'll just wait a generation so it becomes valid.

Worst Aged: Super Baseball 2020 (SNES) That game has 10 years to go, and I don't see any glass domes or baseball playing robots here yet. Very disappointing.

Best Aged: Super Mario World (SNES) I think the GBA/DS helped with this, but those classic pixel sprites still look great, as opposed to most 64/PS2 games, which just look blocky as hell.

Best aged: anything made by Valve. I'm not trying to be a fanboy, it's just that L4D, Portal, and HL2 are nearly infinitely replayable in my opinion.

Worst aged: hmm... that's tougher. I'm betting that MW2 won't age well (it will just end up being the runt when compared with CoD4), but that's all I've got right now. Then again, pretty much any game for which you have nostalgic pangs is likely to be nowhere near as good as you think, unless it's Beyond Good & Evil--which, to clarify, is a WELL aged game.

I still loooove Morrowind, but the graphics are terrible these days.
Have you seen the walking animation? Have you seen the walking animation?!

I can't really think of any others.

Poorly aged: ... I'll get back to you on that. I don't remember the exact name but there was once this Digimon fighting game I had a while back for the Playstation. I tried playing it a good few years back and found my eyes promptly assaulted by the most horribly aged graphics I have ever seen. My eyes were in literal danger of bleeding profusely after trying to play just a single match. Ugh, just thinking about it makes my eyes hurt...
I do believe it was called Digimon Rumble or Arena or something to that effect. I remember having the same game. Never worked.

Anyway, the best aged one would be Grand Theft Auto Vice City. While the graphics aren't the same caliber, it's still enjoyable for anyone.

Worst aged would be Sonic Adventure. While it was fun at the time, it just doesn't hold up anymore.

EDIT: Oh snap! I should read through the entire thread first. My bad.
