Best Anime EVER

I'm wondering what you guys (and galls) think is some of, if not THE best ANIME ever. This is not limited to the most RECENT anime. Please fell free to drop recent as well as past.

Ie from AKIRA to EVANGELION, Speed racer, and the original Macross... and now we got Fullmetal alchemist, Soul EATER etc.

Meh, currently im into One Piece, and I don't watch anything else Anime so I'd have to say One Piece.

I'm no hardcore fan nor knowledgeable in that area so my opinion doesn't really count for much.

More than that. Greatest anime ever in what genre? Comparing, say...Paranoia Agent or City Hunter to Slayers or Berserk isn't just down to opinion, it's downright silly.

That said...Rurouni Kenshin, the Trust and Betrayal OVA. It's damn good.
