Seconded Cell's death. Not a huge Anime glutton here, but Bleach had some pretty good ones for the Espada IRC. And while their master didn't really 'die', odds are we probably won't see him again after this happens:

Don't be so sure. I can't recall if he's actually been in panel or not but the current antagonist tried to recruit Aizen into his army. Didn't go to plan and Aizen's dicking around actually provided the time needed for the protagonists to not get completely wiped out.

I wouldn't be surprised if he makes a full fledged return at some point.

Hmn. . . best anime villain death? Ooh, how about when Ms. Balalaika kills off Hansel und Gretel in Black Lagoon.
On a similar note I'm gonna have to pick one from Jormungand (same creators I believe)

The death of Hex. After an attempt to kill Koko resulting in a firefight with her team, she kills R and is forced to retreat. We then get to see the usually calm and collected Koko call on all manners of intel gathering to track down Hex. After tracking her to a remote cave in the middle of nowhere she decides not to send a team to take her out, but to carpet bomb the entire area in retaliation to make sure nothing of Hex is left.

Her name is Koko and she is loco.

This is probably in a lot of peoples' minds as a great anime villian death, but you just can't beat this classic from Dragon Ball Z.

That was pretty epic wasn't it? In fact I'm hard pressed to think of anything better so I'm just going to second this.

I always thought Kurotsuchi beating Szayel in Bleach to be a pretty awesome way to dispatch with someone.
It's not enough to kill a man, have to really make them suffer first!

Disintegration is pretty amusing.

It's more than just the disintegration, although that is always fun, it's the build up to the disintegration that makes it truly epic.

I know it's not technically in the anime yet, but it's coming up pretty soon.

Neferpitou from Hunter x Hunter.

Gon uses nen to forcibly age himself just to be able to kill Pitou. He kicks him in the back so hard it breaks his spine, sends him flying straight up, then charges all his nen into his fist. Then as Pitou falls, Gon punches him so hard it rips his lower jaw off and sends him flying over a mile through dense forest, crashing and destroying everything along the way and ripping off his leg in the process.

AND THEN Gon goes over to his body and keeps punching his head until it's a bloody pulp.

AND THEN Pitou uses a last ditch effort technique to try and kill Gon from beyond the grave, severing Gon's arm. Gon takes the arm, punches it through Pitou's chest, then detonates it.

Will admit, the scene made me so gloriously happy I almost started to feel like a psychopath for enjoying that death so much. Then again, Pitou is a creepy evil mofo.
It's kind of sad in a way when you look back at the start of the series, Gon went from this completely innocent, happy go lucky kid and just became mentally damaged after what Pitou did to Kite that he completely destroyed his body just to get revenge. It's pretty disturbing and sad when you think about it, especially when we see the consequences of Gon using that kind of power

Another one from Hunter X Hunter that has yet to be animated

Meruem's death. He starts off as this genocidal monster who wants to rule the world, but after meeting Komugi and playing Gungi with her, he falls in love with her. He's soon poisoned by Netero's suicide attack with the Miniature Rose and tells Komugi that he wanted to spend his last moments with her and warns her to leave before she's infected as well, but she decides to stay saying I was born for this moment, just to meet him. The scene afterwards is completely blank with just Meruem and Komugi talking, thanking her for everything and asking if she could say his name before he dies. Those words and the last scene made me tear up a bit

The fact that it made me care for a being that wanted to wipe out humanity is just amazing

Yeah, Cell definitely takes the cake. That said, this little gem holds a special place in my heart:

Is it fair to call her the villain? I don't know, but that was a great finale (to an otherwise average film).
No

But it is a great film though, so sad. Stupid thing made me cry :,(

Justice's death in Afro Samurai was hella fun "Oh Hell!" *SLICE!*

Pulled out of context everything looks freaky. But I'll give you that this probably looks really fucking weird :p. Still if you had seen it: Normally goku (gohan's father) is always the hero. But goku was killed by cell. Gohan who was always... just... kind of there getting his ass kicked, then loses it. Beats the shit out of cell and finally kills him. It is a big thing in the series. But yea... if you had not seen it then it looks stupid.

To me that would be Healing Care death in Gundam 00.

Honestly I'm feel like a sadist for mentioning her death (there no longer a video clip of that). The scene was Allelujah/ Hallelujah charge in and got behind her mobile suit and ripped out the escape pod preventing her usual escape and then he start to cut her suit in half. Second to her death, the once egotistical Healing Care is pleading for help from Ribbon (the main antagonsit of season) who pretty much doesn't give a shit to anyone by himself.

The sadist part is that I was satify over her death eventhough she was pretty much terrify of it.

Oh before you mention Nina death, her death was far too short and painless. It should fo been longer and for her to realise how her little muse was the cause of her demise.

What's absurd about it? He's just Kamehameha-ing him to death.

As for myself, I highly enjoyed when the main villan of Sword Art Online died in game- the guyimprisions and is going to rape the heros girl both in life and in game. They really made it so you hated the doucebag. Then kirito sets the pain receptors at maximum, decapitates him, and impales the head in mid_air. So awesome
I was going to say that one having only recently finished watching Sword Art Online, but then I would've rather have seen Kirito knock the bastard around a whole bunch more before slicing him to bits.

Clearly it's the death from the end of Jojo...

What anime villains do you think had the best death? Spoilers, obviously.

From part 2 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure
Kar's banishment. Okay, not exactly a death but it still counts. Being launched into space by a volcano, propelled by your foe's amputated hand? While the awesome theme song from the first series plays. AWESOME.
Goddammit...

Their's a bunch of really cool deaths in Fate/Zero, but that series doesn't really have villains, or at the very most none of the characters can be considered heroes. Plus the only characters who can be called villains die really anti-climactically in the crappy DEEN adaptation.
Mirai Nikki spoilers below
Minene in Mirai Nikki has a really awesome death scene, where she puts a bomb inside herself so she'll explode when her heart stops beating. But on the other hand 7th death is really cool to, he's id impaled and bleeding to death and yet his first thought is to save his fiance, plus I guess Yuno can kinda be counted as a villain and her death is...gahhh why is this so hard?
If you flipped this question on it's head and asked for the best hero deaths I would have a much easier tme thinknig about this...

Rewatching Samurai Champloo, I keep getting drawn back to the end of Misguided Miscreants. Mugen comes back from the fucking dead to punish people that double cross him. Koza doesn't "die", but that's what makes it so intense. Mugen DOESN'T kill someone for a change, and coming from him, that's just about the worst thing he could do to you.

I mean, christ, that's cold coming from Mugen. But Koza betrayed him twice, betrayed her brother, betrayed Jin... and she'd probably betray her boyfriend too. Being left alone is the worst thing that could happen to her, and she brought it all on herself.

Though he was playing the villain at the time, Lelouch Vi Brittania Code Geass S2.
What a way to go... He died for the world~

+1 ^
"died"
My vote is also from Code Geas, but the villain is emperor charles.
I mean, he was deleted from existence by the collective unconscious of every human being that had ever lived, because Lelouche commanded the collective unconscious to do so. Badass.

I'm absolutely baffled that no one mentioned the FALCON PUNCH in the F-Zero anime! For fuck's sake, Captain Falcon took out a good chunk of the galaxy with villain.
