Question to you all Escapists: what are the best names for bars/taverns/pubs you've ever heard? Fictitious or otherwise, though please specify.

There's a place I sometimes deliver to called the Mugshots. Probably not the most creative name ever, but I like it. Good tippers too.

Well there's a pub on the road from Cockermouth to Sellafield in Cumbria that was called "The Legend of Oily Johnnies" but they've re-branded themselves as a gastro-pub and call themselves "Oily's" now, which is rather letting the side down.

http://www.pyrotechnistsarms.com/ is probably a good place for Guy Fawkes' night.

http://www.moodycowgrill.co.uk/ nice place for a steak, but don't take the missus.

The Äteritsiputeritsipuolilautatsi bar. It took its name from a nearby area. It's closed down now.

Tequila Mockingbird, Ocean City, MD.

I have a business card from them. I don't remember ever going. Hell of a night.

There's a place I occasionally walk past. Its entrance is literally nothing but a plain old door leading to a dank basement. Fixed above said door is a plank with a single word stenciled upon it. That word is, 'KONTORET'.

Translation: 'The Office'.

At first, it just seemed odd. The brilliance hit me after a few minutes.

'I'll be right home, honey, just gotta stop by the office first.'
