Yeah i played that for like an hour and it really wasn't all that great even though it is a fairly new add-on to the website i still prefer fishing XD

RUNESCAPE! (back in the day, been shitted on alot since)

Its embarrassing but I've never been addicted to a game as much. I guess its the first mmorpg experience, for most people its WoW. I used to play with my school mates when I was what 14 to 15?

played for a whole year I think, ground level 100 and millions of gold. playing was like a job. first and last total grind game I think and hope.

ADDICTED. the game is awful really but some parts of the game I still think are awesome. it was always a love/hate relationship.

Hard... HArd. I'd say Urban Dead (http://www.urbandead.com/index.html) because :
1. You play a human in a zombie-ridden, quarantined city. *_*
2. If you die, you become a zombie, and get experience for munching chaps and infecting others :D
3. You move freely through the city, were every house and building is barricade-able, searchable, and much more.
4.The gameplay never force, but encourages people into an existing, extremely deep rivalry and war between Zombies and survivors.
5. Incredible user community.
How does one get involved in this 'incredible user community'? When I come across people I can speak to them but usually either don't get a response back, or end up splitting from them due to a powerful need to progress in the game.

I really enjoy this game but I feel like theres more to it which I'm not getting out of it. Also supposedly malls are very good for gathering things... how am I supposed to find a mall? Am I just going to get eaten if I attempt to go to one? :S
First, use the wiki. It gives a good understanding of a lot of concepts, such as zergs, pvp'ers, usergroups (Feral Undead FTW *rawr* ) and more. There, you can get hold of a good group that represents what you want in the game (I was in one that focused mainly on joking in the radio and nursing the city once :D).

Second: Understand that the comunication often takes place outside of the game, in group forums and msn. There is a lot of communication in game too, but only in certain radio frequencies and in certain places.

Third: A map of malton helps a lot, check were you are on the map and get a grip on where to go. (http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Suburb)
That map also indicate the ever changing activity in each "suburb", so you can stay away or get into action.

I could go on for ever about this game, but that would almost be oftopic. Send a message if you need more help. I'm a 21 zombie, keeping Pennyville clean from meatbags ;)

Kingdom of Loathing FTW.
Ah, I was afraid it would'nt get a mention. Not much in gameplay, but the handdrawn graphics, humor and awesome community make up for it.

lol i cant take KoL serious with the stick people. i think maybe rs is the best but it does get really boring if you want to play it every day,if you have a job and are not playing for hours upon hours it is a fun game.

It depends, what defines browser games? if it's just games on the internet than there's too many (mostly utter shite) to choose.

The best game i found out of this selection would have to be dead frontier, it has no waiting times except for re spawn, there is also alot of people to play online with if you fail at single player. The worst game would have to be urban dead because the graphics are shameful and there is a ridiculous waiting time before you can attempt to move a significant distance or find anything of value.

Personally, I greatly enjoy Billy vs. Snakeman. It's an anime parody game, a sprawling text-based RPG sim... of sorts. It's kind of hard to classify. But it's free, and you'll know within an hour whether it's for you or not. If you're into anime, it's certainly worth checking out; and keep in mind, it kids because it loves. Here's the linky, if anyone's interested.
