This was actually an unrelated topic in a different thread, figure it needed its own home.

Title says it all, local places can't be excluded but you could at least give an area to find them in case someone is close by and wants to challenge you on it.

My vote would have to be Copp's in Milwaukee. They take their time making them and have no seating, so you're stuck waiting five to ten minutes (when there's no line) and forced to stand or lean up against something. But that has to be my favorite cheeseburger of all time.

Just so I'm not bing a local snob, Red Robin is also up there. Just the amount of different things they're willing to put on a burger and the only place that doesn't (completely) rob you for some blue cheese on a patty.

The Big Kahuna Burger

Either Frankie and Bennys or Gourmet Burger. Both big chain restaurants, at least in the UK. Both have just mouthwatering burgers.

You want blue cheese on a burger patty at a reasonable price, go to Trader Joe's and buy the meat and cheese yourself.

Best burger for my money is Kipo's Roast Beef in Wakefield, Massachusetts, about a fifteen-minute walk from Wakefield High School and therefore a cherished teenage memory. Honorable mention to 4th Street Pizza and Subs in Haverhill, but they're not open anymore. When I lived in Haverhill (a block over from 4th&Main), I used to live on that stuff.

The biggest thing I miss about New England is the abundance of REALLY good places to grab a burger that aren't fast food joints. Best burger in the Wasteland is the Carl's Jr. (mmm, Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger) but that is totally not the same.

Any place called "Happy Burger". Cause the Silent Hill fans will go there and get into fights with the Buffy fans.

Which is surely made of win.

In Brisbane we have several places;

At Wellington Point we have 'Off the Wall' Diner, which has - apparently - the hottest burger in the southern hemisphere dubbed ' The Mega-death Burger' Edit - In the world...apparently.

There is only one great burger joint I know, and it's only one location in Denver.

Griff's Burger Bar.

Try to avoid the things as I like to be able to sit down on a chair with breaking it or feeling my ass slide over either side.

But theres a few Irish pubs in town that do homemade burgers with chips that are mighty good!

Burger and chips with a pint of your choice for 6 quid.

Not bad <3

my favorite burger of all time, is at cheeseburger in paradise (i just get a plain burger ironically), but MAN that think is cooked perfectly everytime, and i could be so full to the poin that meat is shooting out of my belly button but i would still keep eating their burgers. (their fries are fucking awesome too)

anytime i go there i always get refills on fries (for free of course) and sometimes order another burger because they are that good (and this is a semi nice place, you go and sit down and have a waiter but thats about as formal as it gets)

Whattaburger, wish they had one here in colorado...

Also Smash Burger is decent, though greasy, and Five Guys is probably my favorite.

I'm a burger junkie...

In and Out Burger is hands down the best place I've ever eaten in general, with Five Guys coming behind in second.

Nonsense!!!!

It's only that crap like 'Mc shite' and Hungry Jacks - Burger King - that are the problem.

Burgers like the ones from Grill'd are very nutritous. When you think about it it a good meal. The problem is is that American bread has a dick load of sugar in it. Then the beef patties you get may as well be carboard for the nutrition and then they add prefab mayo which is disgusting and even more unhealthy than real mayo!!!!! Blahhhhhhh....

Go to Brisbane my friend! For here you shall find burgers both healthy and awesome!!!

In Reno, NV you will find a little dive downtown called the Nugget. They serve a burger called the Awful-Awful (it's awful big and awful good). This burger is a champion among burgers and must be consumed by all meat enthusiasts. Do not allow John Ascuaga's Nugget to trick you, they are not affiliated and the Awful-Awful on the menu is not nearly as good.

In Vegas... hmmm, I haven't found any place that really blows my mind. Probably because I am either working or completely hammered whenever I come to town...

Of the larger places I like Wendy's and In N' Out the most, Jack in the Box has the Sourdough Jack which is good as well.

Worst burger in my humble opinion is Burger King, their patties taste almost exactly like the patties they served me for hot lunch when I was in elementary school.

My brother has told me about this place. Apparently you get your burger in less than a minute but you never buy the fries there as they are crap. Great burgers though.

Theres this local restaurant ( dont know if its a small chain or one store) but its called P.O Lunch. And damn does it have the best burgers, plus they take less than 10 minutes, for a burger about the size of a decent sized book, also its cheap

In NY, GoodBurger serves a great, fast grilled burger. Shakeshack is really good, but I go to one of the new locations by my high school and it smells terrible in those joints even though they don't have ridiculous lines like the original in Washington Square Park. If you're around there, check out Fast N' Fresh like a block away, a new place which I hear copies In N'Out but is still really good. And I've never tried it but I hear Five Guys is awesome.
