To start off with - I am never going to Best Buy again.
Me being lazy and broke when the pre-orders were initially launched for TOR back in July, I think it was, I just figured I'd pre-order later.
Now at this time most Collectors Edition for The Old Republic are sold out everywhere - except if you want to order online or wait after release day to get it.
However, I caught a break by being able to get one at my Best Buy after trying Gamestop. I printed out a pre-order receipt from the kiosk, headed over to the register, and got it all in.
Well, my pre-order code for early access was in the mail by the time I got home. Tried it - said someone already used it. Went back and pre-ordered another one - same problem again. Just got off the phone with corporate Best Buy and they said Bioware has had a lot of issues giving out good codes and said one should be to be in the next 1-2 days.
This is probably the worse situation I've had with pre-ordering a game and such. Yeah, should've done it earlier, but we're a recession heading into a depression.
So, anyways.
1.) Have you guys gotten your pre-order codes validated in yet?
2.) In the likely chance I don't get one, you don't NEED a pre-order code to play the game once we get it physically, correct? I know I'll have to wait a bit but I'll just have the code on the CD or something, yes?
TL;DR - Everything sucks. Best Buy customer service is pretty crap too. Did you get your early access code for TOR?
