So a week or two ago I was playing Borderlands and my brother was surprised to see it was cell shaded. He said that Jet Set Radio Future was the best cell shaded game ever, to which I disagreed. I don't know what I think the best cell shaded game ever is. What is your favorite cell shaded game?
Well you can give your brother some credit, Jet Set Radio Future was freaking amazing! Wish i still had it D:

I'm gonna go with Okami though. It has some silly flaws but the overall experience was brilliant.

I've heard many great things about Okami, so that's probably a candidate, considering it is cel-shaded and all.

Is Prince of Persia 08 considered cel-shaded? In that case, I vote for that, being one of my favourite games.

Valkyria Chronicles has a very nice use of cell shading. It makes desolate battle fields look pretty. But Wind Waker was mighty nice too. I'd say its about even between those two.

No More Heroes. (the first one)
I can't say for absolutely sure that it's the BEST cell shaded game, But I can say I enjoyed it more than every other game I played in 2008.
(Though, In all honesty, I was jaded beyond all reason at the time and it broke my ennui.)

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
It's probably my favorite game of all time when I was younger (Note: I did NOT play Ocarina of Time as a kid. Played it recently, couldn't get into it.)

Wild Arms 3. Hands down.
Not up for discussion.

Okami. Easily. Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker nabbing second place, with Borderlands coming a close third.

Easily for the charm it brings to a charmless genre, the balance it brings to an imbalanced genre, the ONGOING SUPPORT which is more than just "We reskinned a few maps and are now charging 15 bucks for them"
One acronym - ps3. Never been updated even once. Fuckers. :(

I'll have to go with Valkyria Chronicles, I can't remember if Mirror's Edge is cel shaded or not but if it is then that.

Have to go with Okami.
Wind Waker just has too many annoyances to me. Like the ever-respawning sharks. The wave that rises infront of your boat, which has a foam head that just disappears without causing any ripples. Wouldn't matter, but with the amount of sailing that you do it's really prominent. I really liked sailing too, so those really bugged me.

I have the orange box for 360 and tf2 for the pc and considering the fact that they'd essentially be doing a complete reprogram for every little update they've had to essentially please the very few players for a game included on a pack of five games which has bugs up the asshole and can only support 8 vs 8 for two different consoles maybe you should just buy the far superior pc version and call it a day if you want to.

Yeah I have the pc version but my aim with a mouse is totally shot after ages of playing fps on consoles so it doesn't get as much time. But still I don't think Valve can be praised for offering ongoing support.

As long as you like sailing.
(I did enjoy the game)
Although it was far too easy to waste thousands of rupees though opening chests with a full wallet.

I think that okami put the technique to best use and I also think it was the most appropriate for the game type and setting.
