As the title says, what's the best DLC you've payed for?

For me, the Fallout: New Vegas DLC was well worth the price it was asking for. MOAR TARGETS FOR MY GUNS!

Fallout 3 for me, a great way to continue the exploration beyond the regular game.

I don't really buy DLC very often but the best I ever bought was for Dungeon of Dredmore, the wrath of the diggle gods.

...What's happening in this thread?

Anyway. Probably Shadow Broker. That was pretty good.

Either Warden's Keep or Return to Ostagar in Dragon Age: Origins. I love me some Dragon Age: Origins.

I'm going with this.

Lair of the Shadow Broker, and the suicide mission, were easily the best parts of ME2 for me.
I actually really enjoyed Kasumi's mission in ME2. Not just because you can get easily one of, if not the best SMG in that mission. :x(Yay Sentinel!) I rather enjoyed the undercover spy bit.

Poor Taco, it may be a repeat thread but it isn't that bad.

The only DLC I've ever had was from Dragon Age: Origins. I got the Warden's Peak and the Golem Shale's DLC and have played them through. I downloaded Witch Hunt but it requires a newer DA:O version than I have and all attempts to upgrade my DA:O version have failed, so I've got DLC that I paid for but cannot play! D:

I've never really bought DLC apart from the extra dresses in Alice madness returns.

That made me sound like a really big wuss.

You aren't missing out on much in regards to Witch Hunt. Except maybe an easy way to instantly get the trophies/achievements for reaching level 20 with a certain class. :D

I love the original Alice! I played it until my optic drive stopped reading older games.

My life is smaller and far more miserable now. D:

I know this particular DLC tends to be love/hate, but I quite enjoyed the Dead Money DLC for Fallout: New Vegas. It had some of the more challenging skill checks in the game, I liked the atmosphere, the characters were pretty interesting, you get to see a glimpse of what things were like pre-war, and it actually had a pretty decent amount of content. I know a lot of people out there hate Dead Money, but I actually look forward to it whenever I start up a game of Fallout: New Vegas.

Yeah, it's been taunted as one of the best DLC in existence, so I'd call it that. But I got it with the GOTY edition myself, though.

Anyway, yeah ^ that is certainly my favourite. Probably my second favourite is Overlord for Mass Effect 2 - two reasons: 1. Simon Templeman 2. M-44 Hammerhead. I suppose the DLC with Kasumi is also up there somewhere but that's just because she's so useful in battle.

I loved the M-44 Hammerhead, but I always had a problem fighting things with it. In the Mako I could dance around 5 rocket turrets, all surrounding me, on Insanity and take them all down without being scratched. With the Hammerhead I couldn't take down two. :{

Kasumi's DLC also offers the Locust, which I promptly used throughout the entirety of ME2, as a Sentinel. But my favorite part about it was the undercover bit at the beginning. It was a nice change of pace from the usual duck-in-cover and fire gameplay.

What the heck is going on here? Seriously. What did I miss?

OT: A tie really, between Shivering Isles for Oblivion, Old World Blues and Dead Money for Fallout New Vegas. If I have to chose one though it would probably be Old world Blues. There was something about the Big MT that stuck a cord with me. Between the Think Tank, the kickass proto Axe, the LAER Rifle, Talking to your brain, Stripe the Deathclaw, and the myriad of talking appliances, including a psychotic homicidal toaster, the DLC had everything.

The only DLC I've never really thought was a waste of money were the Borderlands 1 DLC, each of them (except the arena one, that SUCKED) was well worth the money, tons of extra gameplay, and maybe the Tropico 4 / Civ 5 DLC, but that's because I'm a whore for new buildings.

I haven't played the Borderlands 2 DLC, but I hear it's pretty good.

I.. What? Bloody hell? What happened?

OT: Shivering Isles (TES IV: Oblivion).

Honorable mentions:
Bloodmoon (TES III: Morrowind)
Dragonborn (TES V: Skyrim)
Old World Blues (Fallout: NV)
Dead Money (Fallout: NV)
Shadow Broker (ME2)
Overlord (ME2)

The worst:
Horse Armor Pack (TES IV: Oblivion)
Spell Tomes (TES IV: Oblivion)

I'm posting just to see whether I get banned for a fictitious thread too...

On topic, I thought the most recent Halo 4 map pack was actually very good, and breaks 343 Industry's run of really crummy DLC for Reach and Halo 4.
