Also Bulletstorms ending was quite good i thought, in a buff, manly sorta way.

But yeh, i don't think any game will top Portal 2 for a while.

My absolute favorite ending in a game has got to be Red Dead Redemption.

John is cornered on his farm by government agents and, allowing for time for his family to get away, sacrifices himself and faces his destiny.

Portal 2 or Metal Gear Solid. Both were amazing. But I also have to say, The World Ends With You, was also really cool!

Contibuting nothing hear but I agree with OP; really can't think of a game that ended better than Portal 2. Everything from the final boss onwards is pure genius.

Nope. I thought the crysis 2 ending was pretty damn epic. that, portal 2, half life 2, starcraft 2, dragon age, crysis, and the third season of sam & max. Whew what a list.

Call of Duty 4's was pretty good?

I'm with you there. I thought it was pretty nifty.

OT: Having trouble thinking of games that I played... I was most affected by Fable 2's ending. I decided to be good. But it was never the same without that dog.

But Mass Effect 1's ending was pretty damn sweet, especially considering how I was under the influence of alcohol at that time and every decision I made was instantly ten times more emotional.

The ending to Freespace 2 was pretty awesome.

After destroying the jump node, you help transports evacuate from Gamma Draconis before the Shivans cause the star in the system to go supernova (presumably wiping them all out) and you have about fifty seconds to get back to the remaining jump node, but if you don't make it, the ending cinematic has this part about "Dude was a hero."


Also, a lot of the endings to character's Musou Modes in various Dynasty Warriors games were pretty cool.
