(There are probably a million of these out there, but the search bar snarled at me and threatened the well-being of my family, so I'm going to throw caution to the wind on this one)
It is my high school graduation today, and I was spending considerable time reflecting on the past with application to the present. Rather than do this on my own, however, I'd very much like to enlist the benevolent aid of the Escapist community. So, without further ado, please discuss your favorite/most meaningful conclusions to a work of literature/film/tv series/video game.

Best ending ever: the film Léon (known as The Professional in the States I think). Nothing can match it.

It's cool I searched it and couldn't find this one, it's usually specific ones.
OT: My would be Bicenteninal Man just because it's quite touching how he struggles for his beliefs, I couldn't be bothered spoiling this one so I'll leave it at that.

MGS4's ending, it left me satisfied now knowing the truth behind the series by tying up the loose end and adding a nice ending where snanke finally gets to live in peace.

The ending of Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Oddworld: Abe's Odysee

Nothing says "good ending" like accidentally farting in front of crowd of a bunch of people you just saved.

Actually that was just the good ending, I hated the bad ending.

I love it when I don't have to type.

Army of Darkness (American cut).
Metal Gear Solid had a good ending, and MGS4 had quite possibley the best climax ever.
Portal of course.

^This. That movie made me tear up.

Also, Fight Club had a good ending, and MGS4.

The ending to the movie "The Illusionist" put it on my top 5 favorit movies of all time list. I like the ending because it is so unexpected yet you have all the information.

Sometimes, I think I'm the only person in the world who liked CoD4's ending. Sure, it was abrupt, but...
Price sliding you a gun and giving you a chance to kill what's-his-face was one of the most awesome endings to anything ever.

A lot of Twisted Metal endings would qualify here (at least not from 3, 4, and Black.) Seeing each contestant's wish get completely corrupted by Calypso was insane fun every time.

The ending to Megaman Legends 1 was crazy. All this time, you thought you'd be finding the Mother Lode and leaving the island, but...
what you find is another robot named Megaman Juno, who tries to kill everyone on the island as part of a bureaucratic "maximum capacity exceeded" purge once you awaken him. Once you stop him (with bullets), the monkey who's been saving your game this whole time comes up and shuts down Juno with lots of legalese. Also, keep in mind he's been speaking pretty much normally in text boxes throughout the entire game, making this a complete WTF moment. Then he tells you that he was built to store your memories so they couldn't be read, and later, he'd tell you everything. This left the door wide open for a sequel (which was also awesome,) and made the game completely different.

I thought that the ending to Battlestar Galactica was fairly awesome. There were a few things about it that annoyed me, and I would have liked to see some more actual explanations for things, but that really wouldn't have fit with the show's style. The way they ended it was probably the best way that they possibly could have.

Children of Men. I don't want to give away the ending, but it was pretty epic.
I'm inclined to disagree. It almost felt as though the movie had decided to go on leave, and will write us when it decides on a proper conclusion.

Read Thank You For Smoking. The ending is pretty good as endings go, but the story is gold. If you even remotely like the film, the novel will bowl you over.
