The ending of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
True, it's the first time I hesitated to pull the trigger.

Also noteworthy:
- Lost Odyssey
- Thief 3 (short, but ties up everything nicely)
- Shadow of the Colossus (IN YOUR FACE!!!)
- Gabriel Knight 3 (THAT'S the treasure???)
- Full Throttle & Grim Fandango (BEST finale in an adventure game)

The Age of Mythology ending. the original campaigns, the new one is good, but the end to Arkantos´ quest was just epic.

Boondock Saints ending would have been so much better if the courtroom scene was the ending.

Click was a good movie, and I liked how this little fable didnt make just us learn a lesson, the main character learned the lesson and employed it in the ending.

and Terminator 3 had an alright ending...

Videogames:

Ico had one of the most touching endings I've ever seen in a videogame.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater had my favorite ending of the Metal Gear series, it was both epic and fairly light on the conspiracy mumbo-jumbo.

Final Fantasy X had my favorite ending of the Final Fantasy series, it's very sad, even with the happy ending of X-2 afterwards, the original ending still makes me weepy.

Final Fantasy XII, not my favorite of the series but it's just so damn star warsy that I couldn't help but love it.

Chrono Trigger has my favorite happy endings, pretty much any of the ones where you revive Chrono and to go the millenium fair.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, my favorite "simple" ending, it's just so action-movie-alicious.

Silent Hill 2, pretty much every ending in this game is brilliant, my favorite is the "leave" ending.

Mass Effect, a pretty epic closer to a pretty epic game no matter what paths you take.

Other:

Babylon 5: Sleeping in the Light, An excellent farewell to a great show.

The Ideon: Be Invoked, everyone fucking dies in the most epic and tragic way possible before being resurrected by the will of the universe and carried forward into enlightenment.

Eureka 7, love saves the world in one of the most epic and happy endings I've ever seen.

MASH: Goodbye, Farewll and Amen, probably one of the best Series' Finale's ever put to film, very funny, very emotional and very, very good.

Kill Bill: Part 2, I really loved the Spaghetti Western feel of the ending, it was a very interesting and remarkably peaceful way to close such a bloody story.

Once Upon a Time in The West, The Frank vs. Harmonica showdown is probably Leone's best One on One shoot out in his career.

The Mission, well I cried, it's a very sad way to end a film.

Actually I also watched The Prestige and I didn't like it very much.
{because it was too "magical" I know they said science but it was too much like magic. I mean in the Illusionist at least they had some mystery about his tricks. I also didn't like it because in the Prestige his motive was to out do the other guy. In the Illusionist he had a much better motive. }
What do you mean by "too magical?" You mean the Prestige was too much science fiction? Well then what the hell was The Illusionist?
He freaking made ghosts appear out of nowhere!
If you mean that The Prestige was too "science-fictiony" while the Illusionist was more magical, then I'll admit that is true, but it isn't necessarily bad.
The illusionist was the one with Edward Norton in right??

Out of video games:

-KotOR 1, the Good and Bad endings. Mass Effect as well, no matter the choices, the ending was still great.

-I doubt anyone would agree, but Assassin's Creed. I don't think I can say much without there being big spoilers.

-Hitman: Blood Money. It was satisfying.

-God of War. I'd say God of War 2 if it wasn't a cliffhanger.

From books:

-A Game of Thrones. And a majority of the A Song of Ice and Fire series.

-All of J.R.R Tolkien's works

-As above for most of the Harry Potter books.

From films:

-Monty Python's Meaning of Life.

-THere's...a lot more, my memory just isn't all in it right now.
