slaughtering grosses (even great grosses) of enemies that once gave you a tough time. I have learned this thanks to Devil May Cry (3 did it the best but they all iterate it pretty well).

i remember i spent a weekend 5 staring every mercenaries level of RE4 with every character. when i was done i had a very disticnt sense of satisfaction and pride, and then i was rewarded with the handcannon, and i can say it was well worth it.

also getting 103% in donkey kong country 3 (i didnt have a lot of games for snes.....cause i was a kid haha)

also playing doom and mario with my dad when i was a kid can't be beat either, i really miss that....

Getting kritzkreiged as a Demoman in TF2 just as the enemy are all huddled around the cart in payload.
(3:00 of this video for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eY--SQImu8M )
Being a sucessful team leader role medic and winning 5 rounds straight, that's worth it too. 'specially when i have my trusty krit-demo or uber-heavy.

Beating a boss (or someone similar) after having an all-out challenging fight to the end. Makes me feel like I've accomplished something.

was playing borderlands last week with a mate online, we were both in a Jeep and had to hit a ramp with speed on being the driver and making that particular jump, some weird feeling of giddiness about almost not making it.

best feeling

The best feeling to me is when the enemy is at the gates, your capital is besieged and your armies pushed back, and then you launch such a beautiful counter-offensive that the enemy's armies crumble and you march into his domain.

I like RTS games.
Oh boy, something like that happened to me and my friend once, but we were the ones that got our asses kicked in the end. We were playing Dawn of War (LAN). It was us two against one of our friends who is extremely good at RTS games. I'm not that great at RTS games so I usually don't do much in the matches. We had never beaten this guy at Dawn of War (we have recently though :D) so we were getting all excited when his base was starting to crumble....

All of a sudden over the chat I see my friend going "WHAT THE FUCK HE HAD MORE THAN ONE BASE!!" just as I look at the map and see my friends base being completely RAPED.

It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen in an RTS game.

Probably when i was 12 and i finally bought Metroid Prime. I was awe struck when i saw what i still consider a graphical and narrative pinnacle of last generation
