Best female character in gaming

I'm going to have to go with the female Commander Shepard. I thought she was just so much better than the male version. I don't think Bioware could've picked a better voice-actor. Especially if you were playing a battle-hardened paragon soldier standing up for what is right.

Heather Mason is fairly high up there, even though I think that Silent Hill 3 is somewhat of a mess, particularly in terms of voice acting, which makes her voice actress's terrific performance all the more surprising.
Ashley Williams, from Mass Effect, is also a fairly intriguing character, and deserves a mention.
However, for me, the one that takes the cake by far, is April Ryan, from The Longest Journey. Outstanding performance, and a really well written character. The game really wouldn't have worked without her.

From all ME women characters you want to see an awful romance cutscene with I'll choose Tali, cause I always know, that behind her mask I'll see TF 2 Pyro and vice versa.

And Fara from Sands of Time Trilogy. No, better just from Sands of Time, without two other games.

I'm gonna go with Ellen Ripley... "Wait..." you're thinking "she's a film character..." Incorrect my friend for you see she is the character you play in the ps1 game Alien Trilogy and since she is the best female character ever, in anything, ever, of all time, ever and she's in a game as a voiceless, faceless protagonist I can use her as my choice...
