Magrathea from The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy. I wouldn't mind playing on a world of raining nude women...

The only one I can think of is the Wheel of Time, but there is an old game for it already as well as a new one coming out soon.

30 Days Of Night - Kind of like Dead Rising, only you get the whole town and have to survive 30 days. Hell, make it drop in/drop out online too.

Battle Royale - Online or offline, you create your student and are each assigned a random weapon. Would make things completely unpredictable.

Battlestar Galactica - The new Galactica. I just wanna hop in a Mk VII and frack up some toasters.

Sin City - Granted, it would be like GTA in black and white, but add in Max Payne style comic cutscenes, and it's a winner.

Starship Troopers - I know, I know. But I want a good game. With Skinnys and power armour, like in the book.

I suspect that if anyone with game developing talent was able to understand the world in Madeleine L'Engle's "A Wrinkle In Time" we might actually wind up with a somewhat decent game on our hands, but failing that, if you've read it would you not want to play through a world based off of Jack Chalker's Well World? Who doesn't want to explore 1560 serparely zoned hexagons each with their own species and miniature world?

I always enjoy undermining or corrupting utopias in games. Preferably in a futuristic setting.

I think The Harry Potter games shouldn't be about Harry Potter. Sure they could have a cameo with him, but I think the Harry Potter Universe would be better suited to be a sand box game of sorts. Maybe have a free roaming world with Hogwarts, Godrics Hallow, Ministry of Magic as one of the many places you can explore etc kind of like how Oblivion is set up. Maybe create a character and you can set his age which would determine where he would start out in the game (Adults start in Ministry kids/teenagers start in Hogwarts). I dunno just my 2 cents and change.
Like what KoTOR did with the Star Wars universe. Maybe more of a linear RPG, where you study to become an Auror (that's the only way I can think of to generate conflict).

I also want Ender's Game. Here's how it would play out:
You play as Ender. You start out as just a trooper, and after learning your way around the zero-G mechanics, you're promoted to squad leader, adding a command element. After you're comfortable with that, you get promoted to commander of Dragon Army. At this point the game is primarily strategy, and you get to have to devise your own battle plans in addition to a few starters the game lays out for you. Eventually you're transferred to the asteroid base and given command of the human fleets. At this point the game is entirely strategy, you commanding the fleets in 3D space. Finally, you Dr. Device the Bugs' homeworld, and the game ends.

It would be incredibly hard to pull off, especially a 3D space interface, but I think it's possible.

I like you. I wouldn't maybe if someone took a crack at some kind of Cthulhu Mytho's type setting.
