Simple, just post your favorite fighting game, what game/system it was on, and why you loved it.

For me, Budokai 2. Why, because everyone in the game was a fireball character, you could do many different combos, it had off screen extras which if you hit them in a section of the map, they would fly off and you really get a feel of "that was a sweet kick/punch" and just overall play. You could story it up or just torny it up and custom make your guys. Also this was the last of the Budokai's which you did the kick, kick, punch, punch, circle combos to actually do the attack vs the gay Budokai 3 and beyond games which focused on turning red for some reason and basically become a super beast which couldn't be beat, besides another super beast, since this was the only way to do a special or ultimate attack. Also Budokai 2 had a great 2D but 3D fighting stylish way.

Tie between Guilty Gear and Tekken.

Tekken was a great technical fighter with more depth in its move set then just a punch kick and block button. My friends and I would stay up all night beating the crap out of each other in Tekken.

Guilty Gear was just off the wall stylish and different. All the characters did things differently and looked different and had their own mechanics. Look at SF and you can see a quarter of the roster is just Ryu's moveset, then look at Guilty Gear. It was fast paced, insane and every character was unique.

Hmm, well I spent ages of my life on SC 3 and Tenkaichi 3, they were really fun.

Also, don't use 'gay' for an insult. It is just really stupid.

I want to know if people that do that truly understand its meaning, because most of them aren't homophobes, or think games are happy, usually.

OT: When I was younger I used to play Tekken (can't remember which one) and Street Fighter II. Of course this means I'm not really in a position to choose the "best", but most people love the Street Fighter series sooo... yah.

Soul Calibur 3 definetly. I enjoyed Budokai 3 a bit, but nah, I'd pick Yoshimitsu or Voldo over any DBZ character any day.

I will go with Super Street Figher II, but the genre is full of great games... (I feel glad it has revived)

SSBB, because theres so much variety and so many characters. the only thing that could do it better is to increase Ganon´s speed and add more character.

My favorite/ Best fighting game is a toss-up between Killer Instinct for the SNES and Mortal Kombat Armageddon. KI was fun and fairly easy to learn, plus it was really the only fighter was allowed to play at that point (I was around 12-14 and my mom took the ratings seriously)
ANd with MK Armageddon I got to be totally kick-ass with Scorpion, it got to the point that I could regularly pull off some of his bigger combos.
