Didnt watch all that many movies, which I feel is rather unfourtunate for myself, as I always enjoy a good movie. The only two movie I saw this summer where The Expendables and Scott Pilgrim, and fuck all of you, I hated Scoot Pilgrim and loved The Expendables, of course I love any action movie where one or a few guys kill almost an entire enemy army.

*Edit*

BTW, are we talking the Best movie of the Summer, cause I doubt there was any really good movie. Or are we talking about our favorite, as my post answered that already, though like I also said, I hardly watched any movies this summer...
Wait... You didn't like Scott Pilgrim? Do you have no soul? And I don't mean one of those lame, girly, emotiony souls. I mean a GAMER soul which you seem to be lacking! And if that is the case, why are you even on a gaming site in the first place?
? whats wrong with you? Dont you know we arent supose to use the term "gamer" anymore? Also, two words, Michael Cera... actually he is just one of the reasons I hate the movie. That, and the overuse of game references, which I understand is essential to the Scott Pilgrim universe, which is further more a reason why I never cared about the damn comics. As much as I love videogames, I couldnt stand it all, its just... ughh...
You sir are out of the secret club for endorsing Yahtzee's stupid non gamer rant for even a second, turn in your game fanboyisms at the door. I for one grew up in the 90's, loved video games, couldn't get enough of things that referenced them, and frequently played megaman in the backyard with my friends. Scott Pilgrim speaks to true gamers, people who in all honesty go "I play games, I like doing it a lot and the fuck with what everyone else thinks" I'm the guy who plays his DS in the elevator, the commercial for gamefly where the dude shuts the blinds and skips work, that would be me. I love games, I would marry my PS2 if I could have sex with it, and the best part would be that I could trade up the the newer model every few years. So, yes, no matter what anyone says I'm a motherfucking gamer, always have been always will be, and if Yahtzee has a problem with me being proud of my obsessive hobby, then he and anyone else who supports it can kindly go stick their head up their own god damn ass.
Well, Firstly, I was making a joking reference to Yahtzee's article. Second... the fuck was all that?

Joking about being an obsessive Yahtzee fanboy doesn't exactly come across too clearly on this site you know... And hey, the man just likes his games! Admittedly, it's a little worrying that he wants to copulate with them, but lets just move along quickly and let the judgement fall to God.

Anyhow, I haven't seen Scott pilgrim yet, so I don't know where that falls. Of the films I have seen this summer:
Toy Story 3 (oh good Lord, Toy Story 3)
Inception

Surprisingly, 2010 has been an extremely strong year. Overall, though, I say Inception, as it's quickly become one of my favorite movies of all time.

Inception was pretty cool, but had a few too many plot holes that weren't explained well enough, I dunno if this was done on purpose to make you look back and try and figure things out on your own, but whatever.
Could you point out these plot holes to the rest of us who understood the movie? (or at least I thought I understood it.) Or do you always make accusations without backing them up?
I would if I remembered them, I just remember how I felt while watching the film. Here is one I DO remember (spoiler alert).

When Leo and his wife "wake" from their own little world after laying on the train tracks, they aren't hooked up to anything to induce the dream in the first place as they do for the ENTIRE rest of the movie. Now, does this mean they didn't actually ever wake up and his wife was right all along when she jumped, or is this just a plot oversight to not have the device there? Thats a fairly big one IMO.

Also, accusations? lawl

Inception blew me away. I will buy the special edition for it when it becomes available and I don't say that lightly.

[sub][sub]Still need to see Toy Story 3...[/sub][/sub]

It's staggering to me that any film, let alone Inception, can be called "over-hyped" in this post-Avatar world.

Anyway, I haven't seen Toy Story 3 yet, so my vote goes to Inception.

While Inception bumped Pulp Fiction down a spot as my all time favorite film, I'd have to say Toy Story was the best. I wept like a goddamn child in the theater that day.

You threw zero-ith swing by saying that Toy Story 3 was only fit for 12 year olds. The plot is similar, but most sequels are like that, and most sequels aren't better than the previous ones (and if you ask me, Toy Story 3 is). Toy Story 3's ending was happy, yes, but it wasn't visible from space.

I very much disagree that Pixar isn't what they used to be. (All my opinion here:) Cars wasn't very good (recent) but neither was Bug's Life(past). So far, it all seems to be balancing out.

You can do the 'Lemme guess' thing with pretty much any movie, excluding a few like Tarentino movies, Brazil, etc.

Alien: 'Lemme guess, only the girl gets out?'

This is not a kids movie, but rather an everybody movie including kids. It needs to be a fairly happy ending otherwise Fox News will get their souless bastardity into a bindle. As I said, I think Toy Story 3 would have really benifitted from a Brazil ending but again, it was to be appropriate for kids.
Hahaha, you're honestly going to say you saw the ending to Alien coming the first time you saw it? Maybe by the time shes the only remaining survivor, but anytime before that its impossible to say...so yeah, horrible attempt at an example.

The fact I've NEVER seen Toy Story 3 and I've pretty much said I'm correct in how it ends is proof enough. I'm however willing to bet you've seen Alien.

Why don't you try to guess the ending of a movie you haven't seen, and we'll see how good you do.

I did see the ending of Alien coming the first time I saw it by the virtue that I've seen other horror movies before that one (mind you most of these came out after Alien did so they could've taken that sort of ending from Alien, but I did see the ending coming).

Anyhow, saying that a movie with kids in mind ends happily is like saying that it might rain sometime this year. Unless if there's some strange shit going down, you're going to be correct. My guess is that Shrek 4 ends happily? I'm also guessing that there's next to no emotion going on in the ending (as opposed to Toy Story 3's well done ending) and that the happenings going on throughout the movie aren't very interesting.

Am I close?

Probably, I didn't see that one either. I stopped after Shrek 2

Splice, Scott Pilgrim, I thought inception was pretty good but not the best, Toy story 3 was awesome and you know what? I don't care if you've already seen it, Go see Scott Pilgrim again. I did.
I dunno, I've seen it twice (so far) and thought it was worse the second time. I was blown away the first time though.

I'd go with Toy Story 3, then Scott Pilgrim, the Inception. Haven't seen The Expendables yet.
don't see the expendables its pretty forgettable, just buy a ticket for Scott pilgrim and go see whatever else is out like Machete or something. just give Scott Pilgrim more money (I wanna see the studios start thinking that a no more heroes movie is a good idea)

Ok....k. Anyways, I reccomend giving Toy Story 3 a try. It isn't the freshest plot but the characters are brilliant, the movie itself very well done, and an excellent and very tense part that probably should'nt be rated G (or PG, can't think of which one it is - doesn't matter the point is that it's more tense than most 'horror' movies are nowadays).

Inception. I like a movie that really makes me think.

And Cobb's definitely back in reality.

Tie between Iron Man 2 and Toy Story 3. Whaat?! I just have a thing for huge ass robot suits! *eyes his avatar, and the Legendary helmet suspiciously*

Oh, right, and INCEPTION!
