Mine would be Babylon 5, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now. Its production values were terrible for its day, and time hasn't helped.

Only one person I know has even heard of it, and he hates it
Two of us. ;-) Love Babylon 5 and while it hasnt aged to well with the effects the stories and characters are excellent.

Definitely only for a certain taste, but a great take-piss of some of the British dramas of the 80's.
Excellent choice! I also enjoy this, as well as Luxury Comedy.

EDIT: And also Man to Man with Dean Learner!
Good shouts. There's a definite genuine love of comedy which all those shows have. It proper feels as if they're making the shows as much to enjoy themselves as it does earn a living.

May seem a strange question, but do you support any football teams? I'm just wondering if I may know you.
Oh, definitely not. I was warned against that before I came out to Britain. The worst of it was probably north of the border, though, between the Celtic and Rangers fans. Grown adults...man alive.
Lol. Sorry, just know a lad with a very similar username to who's a big football fan, so just wondered if you were both one and the same. Obviously not :)

I've been reading manga for at least fourteen years. Never once have I heard any manga fan talk about this series. Even though it's both a great series and the longest-running manga that's still being made.
Anime Abandon reviewed one of the movies but he wasn't a fan.

I don't know many people who've seen Farscape and I consider that one of the best series I've ever seen. Though I admit that it flew under my radar when it was on the air. It's on Netflix though.

Shadow of the Vampire is a gloriously disturbing movie. It tells the story of the filming of Nosferatu, fictionalized of course as I doubt that Max Schreck was actually a vampire.

Both of mine are slightly cheating but whatever. Due South has to be one of the best cop shows I've ever seen. A Mountie gets banished to the Chicago consulate after arresting a senior Mountie and embarrassing the Canadian government. He spends his off hours working with the Chicago PD. It was several years of weird awesomeness. Why cheating? Because it was primarily shown in Canada but had a cult following in the U.S.

The other show was Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Also a mid-nineties show, but made and broadcast in China. I imported the DVDs of it a few years ago. It was entertaining because it was and entertaining because it was absurd. Some of the absurdities were budget related. In the first season of the show you didn't get to see battles. You saw reaction shots to duels and the loser's head was shown afterwards. I'm rather certain they only had one fake head. So in spite of some of the actors looking completely different, their death head looked the same. I will also never forget the scene where a group of grown men, the leaders of their nation, find a box of candy in an office. They all draw their swords and proceed to have a song and dance number for joy at finding the candy! And this was meant to be a serious drama. I will admit that some of the fun came from subtitle oddities. At one point a king and his advisers are discussing a secret plan. The subtitles cut off right before the plan is discussed, and came back on just as soon as they finish. Yet aside from the silliness it was an epic story of war, palace intrigue, and betrayal.

Cube & Cube Zero are probably the closest it gets for me.
You could argue there was another Cube movie but you'd be wrong.
I watched the first Cube movie a couple of years ago. It was great. Thing is, it was so great that I didn't want to risk ruining anything by watching the second flick.
