I really like the music in Treno off Final Fantasy IX. It sounds like an old silent movie. I also love Cid's Them from Final Fantasy VII. It still brings a tear to my eye, it's so emotional and epic to me.

My favorites are the boss themes from Final Fantasy IV and VI. Two of the best games in the series and part of what I like to call the Golden Age of Final Fantasy. Those are Final Fantasies III through VII (I'm with Spoony in that VIII sucked, but FFX wasn't terrible).

When I went to see a live concert of Final Fantasy music they played my favorite song first, and that's Liberi Fatali. They ended with another good one in One Winged Angel. It was a good night.

Before I went to that Dear Friends concert, the only Final Fantasy song I'd ever heard was One-Winged Angel, which I really liked.

Then they started with Liberi Fatali, and my eyes started watering. Then they played To Zanarkand, and I started crying openly.

So...yeah, Zanarkand, for me. Runners up would be Aeris' Theme, One Winged Angel (especially the symphonic metal version), Dear Friends, and Otherworld.

To Zanarkand, always. I can never decide between FFVIII and FFX as to which is my favourite game, but that song is just plain fucking beautiful. There is no other word.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the battle theme from II. In all other aspects, it was a subpar game, but the battle theme was just epic.

To Zanarkand (FFX) - Easily the most beautiful piano song in the history of existence.

The Decisive Battle (FFVI) - An amazingly epic battle song that doesn't rely on electric guitar! Easily my favorite general FF boss theme.

One-Winged Angel (FFVII) - The single most epic song ever. EVER.

I have a few. Liberi Fatali from FFVIII, Otherworld from FFX, and Kiss Me Good-bye from Final Fantasy XII. Yes, I actually liked that song, though many people said it was nails on a chalkboard...which I can see. xD But I like it.
I also find To Zanarkand (FFX) to be very soothing so I guess that one too. xD
