Hi guys,

In which game have you found the best graphics? For my part I'll say Far cry 2 and Resident Evil 5! I really love the atmosphere that these games generate!

Okami - simply looking at it is wonderful :p it also didn't need any shitfucking-mapping.

I'd say it's a tie between Crysis and Gears of War 2 for highest raw quality.

Shadow of the Colossus even if I was fearful that much beauty was damaging my PS2 in some way...

I know you're trying to be sarcastical here, but is that the best you could find?
Magnavox Odyssey only had one or two white dots, and you had to put an overlay on your TV.
Now THAT'S what I call best graphics and technologically advanced.

If you've seen Crysis played max graphics on a big screen then you know that it is God of Graphics.

As for my favourite, it's either:
Or

Yeah, but you had to put an overlay.
The console didn't generate those graphics, and you couldn't keep score. You had to write it on a paper or something.
Plus, since there were just two dots and an overlay, there were no boundaries. You could go anywhere. Literally.

I'm almost certain this topic has been done before.

As for me, I'd say that Epic Games has some of the best detail I've ever seen, but in art; Okami wins. By far.

It depends. Pure all-out graphical power - Crysis undoubtedly. With some of the mods, it becomes... fascinating.

Creature/object/world design - Sacrifice. Especially the many bizarre creatures, even now it stands out from artistic point. And the world is very well-made too, lots of elevation, and nifty details.

Art style - I'll be damned if I know. It should be Okami, only I've never played it. Still, I can't think of anything better, so Okami it is.

Crysis, undoubtedly. But MGS4 if you're giving more of a slant to art design. Of the games which aren't out yet, Starcraft 2 is looking good -> the only game which'll *really* push my rig.

True. I played on one Magnavox. But as the thread was about games Pong is the ideal choise!

For pure graphical quality, it has to be crysis.

For art style, I'm loving Zeno clash at the moment. Some really strange looking things in that game.

*cough* Shadow of the Colossus *cough*

While the graphics are a little dated, it's still one of the best-looking games I've played, all due to the fantastic art design.

I think Resi 5 is probably the best looking game I own. Also, it doesn't have any weird looking animation like most games do nowadays, which is great.
