I like your idea, however I doubt that anything like that'll happen due to processing or something, but as I said, good idea, I think I'd play it :D

not that there aren't enough post-apocalyptic zombie games out there, but i had an idea a while back for a post-apocalyptic MMORPG. There would be two factions. The fascist right-wing regime that possibly caused the apocalypse to catalyse it's rise to power, and the poorly funded band of survivors that through strong will and perseverence have survived and wants nothing more to wreak havoc on the regime for their crimes against the earth. I could go into more detail, but i might try to pitch this to a gaming manufaturer some day so i'll let it be for now lol
So you wanted to make fallout 3?
didn't know fallout 3 was an MMO
didnt notice the MMO part but this still seems like it would just be an MMORPG version of Fallout 3 with slight differences, ease up, im not trying to shoot you down, Im not a game publisher what i say means jack.
Pretty much, but while playing Fallout 3, i definately wished at times that i could be playing in a massive online post-apoc environment on either side of the battle.
I can definitely say i Didn't but thats because to me online gaming is something i like in theory, then i get online Here NOOB ****** PUSSY ASSHOLE, and realize why I really love single player games.
good point, because that's the general populus of online gaming. However, if you happen to find a good group of mature people to play with like I have in multiple games, then you you tend to have an easier time drowning out the 13-year-olds shit talking eachother and have more fun playing in general.

*then again, this is why most games include the all-powerful [ignore player] button
Yeah but then i'm ignoring all but like one or two players and the purpose is defeated, I don't hate online Gaming L4D had a good crowd for a while and Team Fortress 2 is great, I don't like MMORPG's either way to much of a time investment.
Another good point. that's why i've been playing Guild Wars lately. Most of the game is instanced so the majority of the time you can choose who you play with. Plus with a lvl cap at 20, you can grind out a character in a couple days and just play at your leisure afterwards. Plus there's no monthly fee which got me right off the bat.

speleling. Itz orsum.

In all seriousness, an MMO that behaved like a normal single-player game. like, if you're an archer, you are in first-person. If you're a warrior, you God of War everyone to death. Oh yeah, and a free-running MMO. No modern MMOs are good...
Hellgate: London played alot like that. too bad it epic-failed

I had this idea in a previous thread.

Mine would be re-enacting the stories from World War Z. There'd be cutscenes introducing the storytellers who then speak to the journalist and you begin te mission in flashback form.

Sort of like Mafia in the storytelling sense.

My idea is a first person shooter that truly demonstrates the harrowing nature of combat and paints it in a non black and white/bad guys good guy way.

When your crosshairs/sights accquire a target the screen gets hazy and time slows down. Then narration comes from your conscience that questions the ramifications of your action.

"He's a human being, just like me and he deserves the right to live. He probably has a family who love him and depend on him."

"NO HE'S A THREAT! SO WHAT? IT'S YOUR LIFE OR HIS!"

The scenario ends with either the player dropping his weapon from the pressure and breaking down or shooting his gun and breaking down upon the horrid realization that he just took another human being's life.

"OH MY GOD! I KILLED HIM! AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE ME!"

It was called Project13, but they are sueing everybody who ever get's in touch with it, so Bethesda is battling for the right to do it...

Pretty sure when two guys are pointing guns at each other, the desire to shoot him first will silence any thoughts of hesitation.
Maybe in a game like manhunt this can be applied though.

A game where you are a mook in an army of mooks. You fight one or two enemy mooks in an intense dueling system as an entire battlefield plays out around you.

The rest are fairly complex ideas i'm saving for when I storm the Relic HQ.
What is a mook?

A copy and paste from what I posted in another thread with the same subject.
-Setting: Gothic open world (like Legacy of Kain, but open). Around the size of Oblivion, but more cities in-between. Open war between all the countries (all medieval siege weapons and weapons).

-Game-play: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within type fighting engine; Assassin's Creed type free-roam with Kain (LoK) skills. No magic, only skills like telekinesis and mist (LoK). Castle building (optional) if you want to build your own castle/town.
-City/town conquering.
-Time continues even while you're not playing and your armies defend/attack.
-Multiplayer depending on how many cities the game has (4 people per city).
-Stealth missions (ex:infiltrating the castles to steal important items).
-Offline 4 player co-op.
-John Romero makes you his ***** for half the game(what never happened because Dai-Katana was a failure).

Story: Gates to Hell open up and people (your city) is the where the gate is, so you play as a monster or something and you have these mythological beasts that help you (and normal humans). You try to take over the world but then your city gets sunk to Hell (mid-way into the game) and there you go through an all out war in Hell, fighting all their forces. =)

After that a portal opens and you (alone) set back out into the open-world and can start your own adventure any way you like, playing in a Elder Scrolls type game - but better.

Edit: Oops. You turn human after you leave Hell. Either being a normal human, vampire, or werewolf. You can also turn a setting off to halt the world if you don't like the time to keep going when you stop.

A medieval fantasy rpg game where you train your abilities to learn different moves.

It's open world so theres lots of stuff for you to do. You could solve quests, hunt for treasure, rob people, disarm traps and find witty ways to accomplish all these.

Among most of the fantasy rpg non-sense (kings, dragons, goblins magic, and wenches) you may seek the mystical Hat of Awesome. Once you find it, it boosts your health by +100. While wearing it, you get to throw an unlimited amount of lightning shuriken that light people on fire when they get hit, and you get the power to summon Chuck Norris whom accompanies you for the rest of the game.

Also it's on the wii.
