Left 4 Dead 1- it displayed every single gameplay element, and gave you context to enjoy the characters. It also was pretty cool. I'll put it here, just in case you've forgotten it, kids.
That said, I also like Monster Hunter Tri's cutscene- it's especially fun after you've played the game for a while, and you can point at the big bads and say, "Huh, you ain't so scary, dude- I killed the fuck outta you"

Kingdom Hearts 1&2, Dark Cloud 1, FF7, Gears of War 2, and my personal favorite is Soul Calibur 3's opening cinematic that they play before the game starts. It sets up everything very nicely and unlike SC4, it actually delivers on the expectation it builds. It shows that Nightmare is back and possibly more powerful than ever, as well is showing that there are new people in the mix to worry about.

oh god i remember putting the game in for the first time and watching that...my hands were shaking from how much of a nerdgasm i was having watching that, all that awesomeness mixed into one opening intro...then the game turned out to be just as epic...gahhh i want to buy that game again!
