ok, due to a massive fail on a recent best game thread, i wana know ur fave games from b4 the xbox! so by my reckoning thats ps1, jaguar, saturn, cd32, snes, nes, mega drive, master system, handhelds, amiga, atari st, spectrum, commodore etc, and all the amazing machines i may have forgotten.....

for me......i think it would have to be sumwhere between, frontier elite and pirates on the amiga. and i think wing commander was awesome too on cd 32!

Also, eh. Most N64 games I guess, haven't got many memories of pre-xbox games.

I'm assuming we are going with consoles and no PCs cause otherwise I'd pick Starcraft.

Best console game though, I don't know. I still to this day go back and play Final Fantasy Tactics and love it just as much now as I did then. So I'll go with that.

i meant origioan xbox.....my reasoning for that was that i had a coupla years out of gaming due to learning guitar. it was the origional xbox that got me back into my passion, so i wanted to think back to all the time i spent b4 then

I'm going with Chrono Cross. Man, fuck Trigger. Cross was the better game...Loved the elements system, and the stamina system. And...pretty much everything actually.

no no, old pc stuff more than welcome, id go kings quest on that. i loved those. origional unreal too....man that really opened up FPS`s for me

Best game would be Worms. Possibly Armageddon, possibly a different version. But my answer to this question changes every time I get asked. Would always be a PC game though, as that's what I started gaming on.

Best game before Xbox? Almost ALL of the best games were made before Xbox (except Bioshock and Resident Evil 4)!

But if I have to choose, I'd go for Super Mario Allstars+.

well, while the grammar and spelling on this thread is pretty bad, ill go with... uh, actually thats a really good question.

most of my games are on the PC, including my favorites, and my first non-handheld console was a PS2...

i think that DBZ: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 deserves the title. besides BlazBlue, that game has had the best combo system ive tried so far.

but i really dont see the big flick about the box and the 360. might be because:

1. none of the exclusives (especially the high rated ones like Halo) has done any appeal to me.
2. i hate the damm controller.
3. XBL.

Baulders Gate. Monkey Island was way better on pc. As for consoles, Ocarina of time and Conkers Bad fur Day to name a few, but so many n64 games are among my favorites of all time.

Silent Hill 2, I think that was technically before the Xbox. If not, then Ecco the Dolphin on the Sega Genesis. I loved that game way too much...
