Best game storyline

I would have to go with almost any FF game. The stories are always so huge and epic it is almost like playing a novel. I also think that almost any of the story lines could be turned into really great movies as long as Uwe Boll doesn't direct them.

Advent Children and Spirits Within both sucked and none of them were directed by Uwe Boll. And condensing an entire Final Fantasy game into one movie would cut out too much. For one Final Fantasy game it would be like 5 movies (when you cut out most of the needless walking).

Actually, I would pay the $11.50 ticket prices to see Final Fantasy VI broken up into multiple movies. Hell pretty much any movie of a Final Fantasy with a story in it I would pay to see (Final Fantasy 2 and up).

Final Fantasy 1 had a story

It even had a twist at the end.

It wouldn't have revived Squaresoft if it didn't have a story.

As you can probably tell from the avatar, I'm going to have to pick KOTOR.

Yeah- KotOR was a great story... Nice avatar, by the way!
I also very much enjoyed the story of Mass Effect

The storyline that stretches across the two Digital Devil Saga games. The story of the Embryon and their silent leader is a fantastically realized story, never has a game(s) gripped me as much as the DDS titles.

I liked FF VI, mostly because of the many interesting characters. Also, the whole "the world is at war" theme was the base of the entire story, instead of just being tacked on later, the way most FF games do it (I'm looking at you, VII!).

I heard this game designer once who said "Look at the length of a game... it's more comparable to series than to movies." Maybe more games should be made into series instead of sucky movies. Maybe in some years, when the internet becomes a dominant distribution method ^^
