Metal Gear Solid if you ignore what a steaming pile of shit MGS4 was.
I liked MGS4.
I've watched an entire marathon of it and never touched the game, didn't give two shits about the story, but it was... I don't know, I think cool is the word to use here.
OT: I'm not gonna say Bioshock, because being forced to listen to all those tapes to get an appropriate background for the story was rather boring and tedious, and I'm not gonna say Mass Effect (mostly for the boring and tedious parts), but also because the actual tough decisions were too far between, and Mass Effect 2 was probably one of the most disappointing games I've ever played (having to collect all that stuff from other planets and doing everyone's side objective was the most bored I've been in a game). I didn't start liking the game till my teammates started dying. That, and because of who died and who lived, I had probably one of the most perfect endings I could have gotten (And I did like some of the people who were killed)
So I think I'll just choose Assassin's Creed 2 (not brotherhood, though Brotherhood was more fun gameplay wise).
I felt like I knew why I was targeting those people, and I felt like a badass while I did it. Also, before the game even started I had already sort of convinced myself to hate Ezio. I wasn't really digging the accent.
How wrong I was. He quickly became one of the coolest characters I have ever played.
