I kinda like the little descriptions or foreshadowing ones that sum up the game. Like Assassin's Creed or Mirror's Edge.

i agree, mirror's edge is a pretty mysterious title. but honestly, 'final fantasy' always sounded so cool to me. im not a super fan of the series but the title sounds so ominous
That's because it was going to be their last game before going under. Then it made money.
true that, but it sounds so apocalyptic and urgent you have to admit. like, impending doom (im coming off like a fanboy arent i...) anyways like i said im not a fan but i like the title
Well if you still buy into the impending doom thing after the tirteenth time...

Impending doom got delayed a bit didn't it?

Nothing personal just felt a need to say it :)
Doesn't final mean...final? as in the last? Like the one before no more? Are there thirteen endings to everything? Has Final come to mean inevitable sequel?

Anyway, I think that Condemned and DOOM are both ominous names...

No love for a favorite game title so far, so I'll toss in:

"Deus Ex Machina"

Not to mention a few well and simply titled classics:
"X-Com"
"Fallout"

and the wonderfully titled
"Monkey Island"

Oh, and everyone should realize that, while "Duke Nukem" qualifies, "Duke Nukem Forever" would be a fantastic sequel name but is disqualified on the grounds of not being a real game.

I second "X-Com" and "Fallout", and toss in a vote for "Deus Ex" as well (distinct from "Deus Ex Machina").

"Armageddon Empires" is good: it captures the grandeur and ruin of the game's setting, and is a pretty decent two-word summary of the game overall.

Sometimes the simple names are the best. "Civilisation" is the perfect name for a perfect game.

"Dawn of War" would have been good if it didn't sound so much like all the WW2 games with interchangeable names: "Medal of Honour", "Call of Duty", "Company of Heroes" etc.

You Have to Burn The Rope. No title manages to summarise a game this well.
