Yeah, I know, usually the sole purpose of gaming IS to relax, but that's a taboo, at least in my case it is, games often piss me off more then make me feel relaxed, if it isn't some pompous son of a ... online, its frustrating levels, missions and characters. Hoe the heck am I meant to relax in Just Cause 2 when I get killed JUST when I'm trying to do something important, or a game has me bashing buttons so hard my fingers go numb, or I'm forced to concentrate on this and that, otherwise DEATH!

So yes, so present a so called "relaxing" game and state why its relaxing.

EDIT: Haha, see I knew people would mention Flower, but the question is, is it relaxing all the way though? I found the later levels to actually want more out of me, yes I suppose it was still relaxing, but it was also quite annoying bumping into deadly industrial things and having to restart or lose flowers.

Eufloria [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eufloria].

There's also quite a few internet flash games that can be relaxing, like Music Catch [http://www.kongregate.com/games/Reflexive/music-catch].

The first, because... I don't know, it's just really fun and simple.

The second, because the music is nice.

Tekken or an FPS you're really familiar with is nice. Tekken on easy, it gives you a sense of acomplishment and like Timesplitters 3 I can breeze through because I know where every enemy is going, is, will end up, what they do, so I can be ready and just destroy the level over and over again.

Flower, the music is great, the level design is great, the entire atmosphere is great. Its just really peaceful and calming, and can be kinda trippy aswell. No mashing buttons either, if i remember correctly its just about all sixaxis controlled (this is actually a good thing unlike in most games its shoehorned into) Also you pretty much cant lose/die, so there's nothing to get annoyed at.

That I own, Sims 3, I make my mad scientist play in-game IRL farmville, he has a wicked garden in the backyard and I like trying to perfect all harvests.

P0nd. [http://peanutgallerygames.com/games/pond/] It's a very relaxing, meditation-based game with only one button (spacebar).

As far as non-Flash games go, my favourite game to relax is actually Oblivion. Wandering around the countryside, talking to people in towns, in a game without much danger (unless you look for trouble) is relaxing.

For me to relax to personally, I go through and destroy the Halo 3 campaign. Sounds weird, but I've done it so much that I've pretty much memorized everything about the game. That or Resident Evil 5, as there is nothing more relaxing than blowing the hell out of zombies with a rocket launcher that has infinite ammo XD

Kirby Epic yarn, everything is so happy-go-lucky, colorful and the music is delightfully relaxing , the game also is not very difficuly, but its very addicting and the music is catchy , id like to see anyone play that and remain angry

Is that game based off of a game or anime? It is rather funny.
It's apparently based off of a visual novel called Cross+Channel.

I haven't played it yet, myself, but <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.266586-Deskimus-Prime-Dives-into-Cross-Channel>it comes recommended (and it's written by one of my two favorite VN authors, who also did <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.206764-Neutral-Drow-reviews-Kana-Little-Sister>Kana: Little Sister).

People are going to think I'm so weird for saying this, but I play Resident Evil 4 to help me go to sleep. It's the fact that I'm so in love with the game, and have played it through more times than I can count, and that I can play it without really putting too much attention in it. So yeah just play something that you can play without putting too much effort into it.
