I don't know what it is about this trailer, but because of the perfect music and just plain kick ass setting, this one really tugged on my heartstrings.

It totally mopped the floor with Assassin's Creed new trailer, and that one was amazing as well.

I know is a pre rendered pretty thing, but:
1: the song is epic
2: made me want the game even more than I already did (and trust me that was a lot!)

More recently? I really liked the Assassins Creed Revelations trailer, even though I probably wont even play the game. But since that's already mentioned I'll post this one, which I thought was amazing:


All in-game and absolutely breathtaking. I was already looking forward to the game before and planning to buy it, but after watching that I was left frothing at the mouth like I haven't been in years for a game. Looks absolutely stunning. The recent trailer for the 360 version they showed just a few days ago was amazing too:


Those guys over at CDProjekt RED sure know how to make a fantastic trailer. Got a knack for picking good music too, I'd love to know what the tune from that last one is.

Say what you want about the Halo franchise but you can't deny the level of effort they put into their ads. The live action ones, the Hope ad with all the miniatures and the website that came with it, the there's the Reach ad that's already been mentioned. Plus the music, the music has always been a sadly overlooked part of the Halo franchise. Marty O'Donnell is a fantastic composer, the soundtrack to ODST being my personal favourite.
