Impossible Creatures: Insect Invasion.

WHY does Windows Vista fail at running it? Gaah, rage...

Arkham Asylum, the only flaw was that it had zero replay value for me. Once I finished it I stopped caring. (I had already went on a Riddeler spree earlier in the game.)

Super Mario RPG, its the reason I still own and maintain a working SNES and the reason I got sucked into gaming as a child. I love that game and have beat it far too many times to count.

It. Is. AWESOME.

Well that or Bioshock, I absolutely loved the story and atmosphere of that game.

Mass Effect- 2
Red Dead Redemption- 3

Completed KotOR over 30 odd times, Mass Effect about 20 times. Mass Effect 2 about 10 times.
RDR I'm still playing through.. only got it yesterday. But I already know its my no.3. I was thinking about missing my flight to Munich this morning just so I could stay home and play it.. alas I didn't and so I'm here stuck in my hotel room, on a cold, rainy Munich night. Bah...
Not to rain on your parade, but you can't judge a game after one day, and you can definitely not put it on your top 3 after one day.

For example, say you are a movie critic and you go to watch a film. The story is poor, and it isn't grabbing you much. Then at the 80 minute mark, they have a spectacular battle to end all other battles. When the movie is over, you walk out, thinking how incredibly awesome that was.

The next morning (or even later for some), when you've swallowed the awesomeness, you get to thinking "Hey... those bits kinda sucked hard".

My point of this is that everyone turns a bit biased towards something in the beginning, and I don't think that you can actually call Red Dead Redemption one of your favorite games ever until you've finished it, put it down for a while, and reflected over it.

Right now you long for it because you know that there is more experience to be had with the game. It is when you've had the full experience that you can put the game down, and reflect over it.

Hope I didn't bore you with my wall-o-text.

OT: Well, I'll have to go with Shadow of the Colossus.

Clichéd as it might be to pick that one, no other game has had such an impact on me as Shadow of the Colossus.

I haven't played it in a very long time though, so my judgment might be biased. I will track it down one day and find out if the game really is as good as I believe it is.

But good or not, it made a lasting impact. It stood the test of time, and I consider that to be the best way of seeing if a game is good or not.

I've got a few. Couldn't choose a hands down favorite, though.

Uncharted 2: Well.. It's just great. Everything about it is excellent - Everything!
MGS4 And Snake Eater: Have always loved the story of MGS. MGS4 was a great conclusion to an excellent series. Farewell, Snake & Big Boss.
Call of Duty: MW: Roughly in the same vein as Uncharted 2. Great set pieces and, well.. action.
Killzone 2: The multiplayer is amazing. It's the only multiplayer I've played where I reached the max level, and I still play it.
