Was Wolverine Origins actually GOOD? I have to admit, I saw "movie game" and dismissed it as a limiting, buggy, clunky mess... like that Wolverine game that came out with Mark hamil doing the voice... that and how I usually dismiss games where the characters they are based on are nearly invincible, like Superman and Wolverine because they feel contrived... a bunch of nobodies with machine guns wouldn't kill Superman or Wolverine, let alone slow them down... so a health bar seems ridiculous.. the guy can be blown up by a grenade and will heal, so if in the game they place some sort of 'limit' so that your character can "die", it just comes off as disappointing.
Although Superman Lives wasn't a bad game in my opinion... in fact I think it's probably one of the better superhero open world games and definately the best Superman title... it was just.. BORING.. the world was open but felt empty and recycling the same enemies in different colors got old... like seriously, how many thousands of robots did i trash before I finally gave up, because apparently Metallo had a virtual army so why should I have even tried. Realistically why couldnt I have just concentrated on finding his robot factory and shutting THAT down... thus affecting the overall world.. now THAT is sandbox play
