Ridiculous Fishing for the iOS... seriously... you catch fish with a chainsaw lure and then shoot them out of the sky... it's awesome. It's sort of like a combination of a bullet hell shooter (while fishing) and fruit ninja (while shooting the fish out of the air).

Other than that... I really liked Bioshock Infinite and Sleeping Dogs has been keeping me well and proper occupied.

I am currently playing the new Tomb Raider in PC, and I highly recommend it. In PS3 I am starting Red Dead Redemption (I know, a bit late), but if you haven't tried it I also recommend it.

Errrm *loads up Steam* -
Depends what you like really. I'm going to guess you've already heard of stuff like Tomb Raider and Bioshock: Infinite, so I'll only point out the less known ones:

FTL -
Space roguelike where you can build and upgrade a spaceship and control the crew in order to make it to a final destination. If you like roguelikes this one's worth trying.

Fez -
It's a 3D world that you see from a 2D perspective. You can rotate your perspective around the 2D planes to complete puzzles. Me just explaining it doesn't do justice to just how awesome that mechanic actually is, in practice. The puzzles are great and there are no enemies, so it's a pretty good game to just wind down. It's around £6 on steam, maybe less.

Mark of the Ninja -
Ridiculously pretty 2D stealth platformer. The stealth gameplay is the best I've seen since Thief 2. Nuff said really.

Bastion -
Gorgeous 2D thingy where you're slowly rebuilding a shattered world. The narrator has a really badass black dude voice, and the gameplay itself is fun, from what I remember. Been a while. From what I remember the story was great too.

Surgeon Simulator 2013 -
Hilarious 'sim' where you use an intentionally awkward qwop style control scheme to haphazardly slice out organs to perform transplants. The graphics aren't too realistic to avoid the whole thing becoming grotesque. It just comes off as silly. Good to have fun + mess around, not good if you want a serious story or anything.

And to not confuse readers. What the hell is FTL?
Short for Faster Than Light. But the actual game's name is FTL so it was fair enough to write it that way. It's a space roguelike type thingy. Worth checking out.

EDIT: Okay nevermind, someone already explained better than this.

Feel free to delete this post, oh mighty mods.

Recently, I've been playing and enjoying Valkyria Chronicles, Dragon Age: Origins, Odin Sphere, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

I would be very hard pressed to choose a "best" game, so I'm going to cheat a little and choose the most played game of the bunch. That game would probably be Tekken Tag Tournament 2.

I'm relatively new to the Tekken series and 3D fighting games in general, so naturally I have been spending plenty of time learning how to play TTT2. Right now, I feel comfortable with TTT2. I'm not great, but I can very safely say that I'm not awful. I know my characters, movement feels natural, and my general fighting game fundamentals have have helped in yielding decent results online. I'm improving, and it feels good. I keep coming back because I like seeing my efforts rewarded. TTT2 is an especially tough but satisfying game. I cannot help but keep playing it.

Last one? Just got my hands on Beyond Good&Evil and blazed through. Must say that, after quite a long while, this was a game that really drew me in. Good plot, good characterization, even of NPCs, and really, really doing great on relaying emotion (without the need for seven point three quadrillion polygons, as well), well-paced...maybe a bit short (10-15 hours, maybe), but it doesn't feel that way, really.

Anyway.

Go play it.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, a big pile of macho silliness with some great shooter gameplay. Its an open world shooter play ground basically, you can stealth around or go in guns blazing or be creative with how you approach things.
This as well.

While I will say I do lament the lack of a proper rocket launcher weapon, and I was very disappointed by the lack of a proper final boss battle, it still was a damn good game in the end for sure. One of the few I've actually been compelled to 100% complete, which I've done already...

[small]... and I still am thinking of playing through it again immediately, too. >w>[/small]

I'll add my vote to the Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon option. I had an absolute blast playing it and a goofy grin on my face 80% of the time. I got a huge kick out of the pop culture references and cheesy 80s throwbacks. Well worth the price of admission.

Well:
TLOZ: The OCarina of Time: last game I've finished. It lived up to all the hype. Even because this game's hype is like that of FF7, you never actually hear it much.

Super Mario World: I played it while listening to a letcure. It's my favourite in the series for speedy and precise controls.

Now I've been playing Dragon Quest IX after putting it off for about a year. It's not very captivating just like I remember from years ago. Any main series DQ on the DS is better.

I began playing Trine last week. I enjoy the narration and the visuals. I haven't gotten used to the controls yet though. I hope I can progress further in it because it seems memorable. I wish I could have made it work better on a Dual Shock controller.

If you've got a PS3, you could get Odin Sphere, God Hand, Valkyria Chronicles, and Resonance of Fate, all of which are really good games.

Ikaruga, F-Zero GX, and Alien Hominid for the Gamecube are also great.
