Tombi.

I absolutely adored this game as a kid. I remember the demo came on a disk with my copy of Spyro and I played it repetitively until I could acquire the actual game itself. It's now incredibly difficult to get a hold of, which is frustrating.

Well, this is the third time i've seen this topic this week. Urgh....
So? Then ignore it. Why do people on here care about multiple posts? I am a member of many forums and this one is the most obsessed with it of any of them.

Anyway, I recently discovered a little gem of a game on Facebook of all places. It's called Feudalism 2. It's java based and run from a browser but it's a full featured RPG/RTS hybrid with all the things those games really need. It's also totally free. Most games on Facebook are terrible but this one is a real game.

I thought of a couple more:

Panzer Dragoon (Sega Saturn) - Easily the best game on saturn, amazing for its time. I think there were sequels though, but I only played the first.

and another old sega gem...

Kenseiden (Sega Master System) - I am pretty sure I am the only person that ever bought/played this game as no one else I've talked to ever has. It was a very good game as well for its time, and EXTREMELY challenging. I would recommend looking it up if you're looking for a retro treat. I would say I wish they would remake it, but with the trend of remade games these days, I'm sure it would wind up 3D and feel nothing like the original.

HA! You think EARTHBOUND is an unknown? Try Mother 3, the fan translated Japanese sequel to Earthbound for gameboy advance.
Well aware of it. Played it, beat it about two months ago.
I thought we were only counting actual releases. Y'know, where it was put out in one's region, not released several years after the fact by a translation team of fans?

Ouch. Direct hit to my snobby jackassery generator.
Other unheard of (or at least underplayed) games would be Terranigma and The Adventures of Spike McFang for SNES, Parasite Eve, Mega Man Legends 2, and Persona 2 for PSX.

A'ight, now we're talking. Parasite Eve, MM Legends 2, and Persona 2 were all freaking amazing. Have to admit, I haven't played Terranigma or Spike McFang. And was Parasite Eve 2 any good? I keep seeing it pop up on forums from time to time, but just can't convince myself to bother playing it, afraid it'll disgrace the first one's awesomeness.

Tomba 2. A 2-d platformer for the Psone with hidden items, main and side quests, and variety of suits and weapons,And a HUGE amount of depth. Also you fight against evil magic pigs. However, almost every single boss in the game can be beat by camping.
