Best Gaming Controller (ever)

So a recent thread about comfortable/uncomfortable video game accessories reminded me of this website I saw a while back showing the evolution of all video game controllers (at least the major ones).

I think it's cool seeing how decades of evolution have turned dozens of models into the 3 major controllers we see today.

So my question to you is which controller is your favorite, and how come? For me, I like the Xbox 360's controller best. It fits most naturally in my hand, and is the most basic controller of the 3. It doesn't rely on gimicks to (IMO) cheapen gameplay.

I think the xbox fits better but the ps3 remote it more responsive and has an awesome d-pad.

I'm going to say Nintendo 64 - because I have a third hand coming out my chest to use the bit in the middle with the trigger button.

Edit: Damn, ninja'd... The woes of being on the phone and trying to type at the same time!

But the Gamecube was the best

I like the PS3 controller, although that might be because im more used to it.

The 360 controller is pretty good too.

360 controller. It only really sucks for fighting games, and if I really cared enough, I'd buy a joystick.

Except for the D-pad being ass, I'm going to agree with the 360 controller.

The 360 controller is the best particularly as the D-[ad isn't ass. You usually only have to tap it so even if it was ass it wouldn't be a major problem

Playstation 3, X-Box is too big and the D-pad is awkwardly placed.

I'm going with the PSX/PS2/PS3 controller, as there is only one playstation controller and it snagged the best layout before anyone else could

I'd probably have to say the playstation controllers, not too many buttons and pretty comfortable to hold.

Computer keyboard, you can perform more actions on a keyboard than you can on a controller, i think it more comfortable then holding a controller

I personally never had a problem with the N64 Controller. Sure, from a design standpoint it's a complete mess, but as far as comfort goes it wasn't too bad, at least for me.

I hated the N64 one, but i agree that the gamecube one was the best as it fit perfectly in your hands
