Time to upgrade, done a search but all threads are years old so wondering if anyone can recommend any?

Maybe X41's or Sennheiser's?

I recommend A Turtle Beach I have one and the voice quality is great.
Though the cord they come with is crap, so buy a new cord and they will be great.

Anything from Logitech for me, but generally, what are you looking for? Ear-Plugs, Cover Ears Headsets? One with mic's? Price range?

I can say that the sennheissers are quite loose on the head. Good for comfort, bad for headbanging. Depends on what you are looking for.

Astro and Turtle Beach are two really good headset brands that I'd recommend looking into.

Price doesn't really matter, must have a microphone and doesn't matter if it's headphone or earphone.

X31's seem quite good for just under 100 pounds (sorry no pound symbol, ****** who set up my PC done it wrong) but for 50 pounds more 7.1 seems worth it.

Going to have a good look into the Sennheiser's...

Astros or Trittons* are your best bet but they're expensive
Turtle beaches are the next best bet and pretty much the standard, Astros/Tridents are usually for more MLG etc
*Thanks to Gondito for correcting me :p

Sennheisers or bust. If you are looking for top quality they are it, they carry a pretty big price tag compared to the rest of the market. But after my first pair of sennheisers I could never go back to any inferior headset.

Just get a simple clip on mic like the one Zalman makes for like $5, works fine.

Get a headset from the Pound shop (or dollar store for you colonials). It will work just as well as expensive ones and not make a hole in your wallet the size of the Dartmoor.

Just wondering, do you know if they can be used on both 360 and PC?

I play WoW on PC and MW2/BC:BC2 on 360, and it's about time for me to get a proper headset.

I was gonna suggest the Roccat Kave, but it doesn't come with an adapter for the 360, so you're SOL.

Too bad too, the Roccat Kave is the absolute best headset ever made for PC gaming.

Yes they can be used for PC and 360 so you're in luck. :D

Remember that the cord sucks so you're probably going to have buy a new one in the near future. But other than that they're great and worth the money.

I bought some cheap ones on ebay for about 30 pounds and they were complete shit.
