I just bought Orange Box today, paid a measly $20 for it and it is no doubt the best twenty dollars I have spent. What is the best gaming purchase you have ever made? A game that you paid very little for and was fantastic? A game you dont think you will ever stop playing?

(On a side note, please go out and get Orange Box, a fantastic bunch of games for only $20!)

I don't know. I've bought so many different games I don't know how to compare them in overall value.

Seriously, that game is fun! Its not as serious as CoD, and the characters are hilarious!

I bought Crimson Skies: The High Road to Revenge for $2.99, it's almost a CRIME that the price is so low for such an amazing game.

Also Dungeon Siege, I paid $1.50 for it, played it for 8 hours...had a fun time... haven't touched it since.

Oh yeah, forgot to say, found a game called armed and dangerous for £3 in a bargain bucket when i'd seen it the day before for £40. Not the greatest game ever, but i mean, it had a gun that fires damn Land-Sharks!

I'd say Orange Box even at $50 (even possibly $100). TF2 is by far my most played game and all those other great games thrown in is amazing.

Mount and Blade, it was only 5 bucks on steam and its a game basically no one has heard of, or will hear of, but god damn is it fun. I can't wait until the multi-player expansion, that shit is gonna be bananas.

10$ for a wired guitar and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. I was mostly in it for the free guitar :\

Best buy ever was COD4, though I bought it at full price, I play it so much its worth it.

My best purchase to date is Lord of the Rings Online.....I know y'all don't want to hear about that but since I've acquired it, I sold my 360 and my PS3 only gets dusted off for some Socom action

I do agree with OP though, I had Orange box and it was spectacular....I played the Half-Life's on PC but not the episodes though......so I got it for the 360, played the Half-Life series all the way through....then you get TF2 and the highly acclaimed Portal "The Cake is a Lie". What a steal for the price it's going for now.

I almost wish I didn't get rid of it so I could've tried Portal 2

There was this great deal at EB.

Company of Heroes was $70, but it had a 2 for $50 sticker on it. If you bought them both separately it'd be 140, but I bought two copies for $50. I didn't know what to do with the other copy so i gave it to me friend. A hell of a bargain I must say.
