best hero and or villians

I saw this thread @ gamespot and thought i'd get your takes.

They can be from different games, (i.e. hero = Gordon Freeman, villian = jack of blades from fable)

Please add the game they hail from and if abrievated also spell out the full game for less

confusion.

For me the best hero is Revan (Knights of the old republic)

and the villan is Revan (knights of the old republic)

Hero:
Garret from Thief.
World weary and flawed. Anti-heros are more interesting any day.

I think maybe Dante form the Devil May Cry series is my favourite hero because I think he is just a brilliant character, cheesy one liners and all, and has a story to him.

As for villains, I like the headcrabs out of the Half-Life series. The shambling, moaning, creepy zombies that they created resulted in a lot of nearly jumping out of my chair, and a lot of fun flinging random objects at them.

to me the the greatest hero is naruto from naruto rise of a ninja and the villian would have to be me muha ha ha ha. no but really i think that tartarus from halo 2

Do you mean minor characters who aren't the "hero" but are more like taggalongs (sidekicks(i.e. Vinny Valentine to Cloud Strife?))

If so sure just follow the rest of the rules as well.

Also I have an honorable mention Ryu from Breath of Fire, the kid the most powerful dragon to walk the earth.

Oh my glee, someone mentioned Breath of Fire before I can! In that case: Yuna from the fourth game of the series. Passive-aggressive pacifist dick who is either directly or indirectly responsible for every annoying setback you face, compounded by the fact that you never seem to get around to actually killing the guy.

The best hero is the Nameless One. I really can't think of anything more suitable.

Best villain? I'd say Kerrigan from Starcraft.

Either the Sith Triumvirate (Minus Sion) from KOTOR 2

Either Zero Beat or Hiyashi from JSRF (Zero Beat for awesomeness, Hiyashi for craziness)
