Best Intro to a game?

I'm glad nobody has said GUN on PS2 and Xbox, because now I get to say it! It's one of my favorite intros to a game, with it's totally epic music and great voice acting ^^

Anyone agree with me?

Rome Total War had one that made you want to continue the campaign. It is fantastic.

Bioshock had my favorite opening of any game.

Soul Caliber 2's cinematic also made the player want to play.

I love these kinds of.. epic, ones.

I agree with Dawn of War though only because it was so nostalgic to actually see the 40k universe brought to life, actually seeing how the space marines would actually move and fight and sound, that was really cool.

The most impressive opening I've seen would probably be Metal Gear Solid 4. It looked so much like a big Hollywood action movie and it also had that timeless line "War ... has changed."

I'd also say Sonic Unleashed was pretty cool

Dawn of War, for sure. I still watch that cinematic for kicks. If the upcoming Ultramarines movie manages to be half that epic, it will be a spectacular success.
I must embed it, to subject those who have not seen it to the copious amounts of win.

Am I supposed to be going for the guys with the huge shoulders? Because I find myself rooting for the orcs. I mean, they mostly have axes and machetes and they're going up against machine guns and mechs.

How about the intro to a sequel? Set to awesome music, it managed to sum up the events of the previous games in the series without spoiling anything: showed the characters, summarised events, and introduced where the new game was starting. My personal favourite:

Cosy. That game will probably never leave my nightmares alone.

OT: Fallout, Half-Life and BioShock intros will always be the crownjewels in my mind.
