I really liked the one where you get Tali on your side, sence you have to stay out of the sun, it keeps you on your toes
That was really cool and so was her loyalty mission. Also, the suicide mision was really well paced.
yea, but hard as hell when someone you know for a fact is good at tech (someon, hes a fucking AI) who is loyal to you gets blasted in the face with a rocked because hes stupid enough to look out the hole where live fire is comming in!
Actually, that one was your fault for picking the wrong fire team leader...
... come to think of it, i did pick Samara >< damn you you 1000 year old *****!
Yeah, I did that too, it's the wrong choice. Bear in mind that while she is old, experienced and powerful, she spent the better part of the last several CENTURIES working alone. She has practically no knowledge and training in leading teams of people.

Jacob, Miranda and Garrus all have experience as leaders. Try one of them (loyal, of course)
oh, i restarted the whole mission once geth died, i wasent going for the achievement, when i play rpgs, i want everyone to life if i can (Like the garrus mission, i restarted the whole thing thinking i could safe his face) and i chose tali and garrus for that, nothing to it, in fact, garrus was my all time leader, love that spikey armed crazy guy.

And this is why I love being an Engineer. Scions are completley locked down by combat drones, and they also confuse Praetorians. I've heard many people complain about the Scion ambush on Horizon, but I breezed through that on Insanity.
So would you reccomend the Engineer for Insanity? I found the Sentinel great on hardcore, he's kind of a Jack of all trades and the instant shield boost saved my ass so many times.

Add Miranda and Grunt/Mordin and you got a well balanced team that can handle anything.

The first collector ship - walking out into that huge tunnel with all those pods... it was amazing.

The final mission too: its an odd feeling knowing that every single character in front of you may be dead in about an hour.

Luckily, I saved everyone bar Zaeed (don't care) and Mordin (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!).

The side mission with the crumbling shipwreck teetering on the edge of a cliff.

That was inspired, and pretty terrifying too.
The Estevanico? That was pretty cool, once I stopped running round in circles like a twat and actually realised I had to shoot stuff to progress (DOH!)
My favourite though, hmmm? Might have to have a think and come back to you on that....

Jack's loyalty mission was amazing. I mean, you only had to fight a few varren, but the atmosphere made it. It even disturbed me, especially the fighting arena part. And the final cutscene... *click-click* *click-click*.

The mission where you recruit Archangel was simply badass, I felt like I really had reunited with an old friend.

Also, everything on Turchanka. Especially how Wrex almost pulls your arm off from joy, it was a really beautiful moment.

I loved Miranda's mission mainly because I was insanely immersed, she's my favorite character. And the elevator bit was hilarious.
The final showdown between her and Niket was brilliant. Not to mention she delivered one of the best lines in the entire game.

"I'm gonna miss you, Niket."

*BANG*

"...figuratively speaking, of course."

Do I even need to mention the suicide mission itself? Because it's obviously more epic than all Olympic games combined.

OK I think I might go for Legion's loyalty mission, if only for the fact that it tells us things about the Geth and makes them far more interesting. When you speak to Legion about recordings later and he plays back a Geth asking a Quarian about Geth having a soul, Shepard says ''Is that the first time a Geth asked that?'', and Legion replies ''No, it was the first time a creator was frightened by the question'' (something like that) It is a thought provoking moment when you look at the history of the Geth and Quarian.

I loved Omega. I wish they had done more with it along with more of the Citadel.

I also loved the mission with the abandoned mine and the husks. Shockwave + Husks = AWESOME!

Ha that happened me too... and I nearly jumped out of my skin when the platform I was on fell...

Also, regarding our chat yesterday about getting teary during games... have you finished Bioshock 2 yet? The ending had me in bits, so beautiful!

I licked a lot of them for many different reasons. Mordin's loyalty was great in terms of character development. I had already liked Mordin before that mission. He was a quirky and interesting character. But his loyalty mission really expanded upon his personality and beliefs.
Mordin's mission was my favorite because of this. At first I thought he was the typical uncaring scientist but him loyalty mission really changed my opinion of him and easily became my favorite squad member

No, Bioshock is on my list of games I would love to play but can't (I suck at FP perspective :-( ) My son has the first one and I am getting him the second one in the next week (getting a shiny new 360 Elite, my old 360 still works beautifully but I want more memory, my Limited edition Halo 360 will be getting a loving new home with my daughter though and my husband will be getting her arcade version, it's like musical chairs with Xbox's :p) I will watch my son play though (he's a crier too, bloody media student ;-) )

They should have made the areas you can explore bigger, though, I mean everywhere not just Omega, it felt a bit claustrophobic compared to the first in that respect.

Ah... well if it encourages you, take the following into consideration:

Bioshock is super easy because you actually can't die. If you do die you just respawn at the nearest checkpoint and the enemies stay at the health they were at when you died... in otherwords, if a section does prove too hard you can just gradually whittle them down.

Also, it has an easy mode which is very forgiving. It's worth playing through on easy just for the experience of seeing Rapture, believe me!

If you want to
save Mordin, send him off with the crew, he has a habit of dying randomly otherwise
who dies is determined by who you choose to do the various tasks and what upgrades/loyalty they have.

the initial ship deaths are random and whether they occur is based on whether you have upgraded the normandy.

then if you choose the wrong person to do various tasks, they will die or get people killed (I lost Garrus and Grunt because I had Grunt lead a team, and I lost Garrus because I chose Miranda to do the biotic bubble.).

If you want to save everyone, get all of their loyalty up, and send tali/legion to open the door, Garrus/Miranda/Jacob to lead the second team, Samara/Jack (with her L5 upgrade) to make the bubble, Garrus/Miranda/Jacob to lead the third team.

whoever does that seems to survive, as long as they're loyal I guess. I sent Tali with them.. I figured she'd done her part openning the first gate for me :p

yeah but a lot of people have had Mordin die for no apparent reason in the final section, sending him back to the ship always prevents this! It could be a bug.
