The side mission with the crumbling shipwreck teetering on the edge of a cliff.

That was inspired, and pretty terrifying too.
I loved that level too, I was constantly thinking "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU it's going to fall, where the hell has the shuttle gone!"

I also liked the Normandy crash site, I can't put a finger on why, it was....err....I can't express why I liked that level at all

The first collector ship - walking out into that huge tunnel with all those pods... it was amazing.

The final mission too: its an odd feeling knowing that every single character in front of you may be dead in about an hour.

Luckily, I saved everyone bar Zaeed (don't care) and Mordin (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!).
The collector ship was epic alright. Serious vistas!

If you want to
save Mordin, send him off with the crew, he has a habit of dying randomly otherwise
who dies is determined by who you choose to do the various tasks and what upgrades/loyalty they have.

the initial ship deaths are random and whether they occur is based on whether you have upgraded the normandy.

then if you choose the wrong person to do various tasks, they will die or get people killed (I lost Garrus and Grunt because I had Grunt lead a team, and I lost Garrus because I chose Miranda to do the biotic bubble.).

If you want to save everyone, get all of their loyalty up, and send tali/legion to open the door, Garrus/Miranda/Jacob to lead the second team, Samara/Jack (with her L5 upgrade) to make the bubble, Garrus/Miranda/Jacob to lead the third team.
...and Mordin to bring the crew back.
whoever does that seems to survive, as long as they're loyal I guess. I sent Tali with them.. I figured she'd done her part openning the first gate for me :p
yeah but a lot of people have had Mordin die for no apparent reason in the final section, sending him back to the ship always prevents this! It could be a bug.
if you have someone die, it's because you made a bad choice in who you told to do certain tasks.

If you choose miranda to make your biotic bubble, and have Mordin in your party, he may die. That's how Garrus died in my game. If you send Mordin to open the initial gate, he probably will die, even though he's a tech spec. If you don't upgrade your ship, Mordin could die before you even land. He shouldn't just spontaneously die for no reason.

But yes, if you want to save Mordin, and he survives that long, you can send him back with the crew, as long as he's loyal, he should survive that way.

Wow I hated that level... it was like the worst of ME1!

And you couldn't even use the damn helmet!

it sits on your desk for the rest of the game though.

and the N7 helmet that you CAN use looks almost the same.

Legion's loyalty mission for the win. Not only is it a nice break before going through the Omega 4 Relay, but you get to find out more about the geth and even determine their future in Mass Effect 3!

Personally, I chose to rewrite the heretics- having a rachni army assisting me in ME 3 is good, but a geth and rachni army is even better. :p

I really liked the one where you get Tali on your side, sence you have to stay out of the sun, it keeps you on your toes
That was really cool and so was her loyalty mission. Also, the suicide mision was really well paced.
yea, but hard as hell when someone you know for a fact is good at tech (someon, hes a fucking AI) who is loyal to you gets blasted in the face with a rocked because hes stupid enough to look out the hole where live fire is comming in!
I just used Mass Effect wiki. It tells you exactly who to use. Tech is Tali or Legion

No, Bioshock is on my list of games I would love to play but can't (I suck at FP perspective :-( ) My son has the first one and I am getting him the second one in the next week (getting a shiny new 360 Elite, my old 360 still works beautifully but I want more memory, my Limited edition Halo 360 will be getting a loving new home with my daughter though and my husband will be getting her arcade version, it's like musical chairs with Xbox's :p) I will watch my son play though (he's a crier too, bloody media student ;-) )
Ah... well if it encourages you, take the following into consideration:

Bioshock is super easy because you actually can't die. If you do die you just respawn at the nearest checkpoint and the enemies stay at the health they were at when you died... in otherwords, if a section does prove too hard you can just gradually whittle them down.

Also, it has an easy mode which is very forgiving. It's worth playing through on easy just for the experience of seeing Rapture, believe me!
Oooooh, sounds like my kind of FP game. I am just paranoid in FP that there might be something behind me, as there is no spatial awareness, it feels like tunnel vision. My son does have the first Bioshock, I will have to borrow it and try it out, thanks.

They were all amazing. But I still think Thane's Loyalty mission stands out in my mind because there was no combat. It was more tense and more professional- it fit his character to a T. That combined with the badass interrogation scene, being able to tell a guy you'll cut his balls off... so awesome

I really liked Legion and Tali's loyalty missions. I missed fighting the Geth this time around, so any opportunity was great. Garrus' recruitment mission was good too.

Probably the suicide mission, my heart was racing all throughout that.

Especially on my second time, I
set Garrus as the fire team leader both times, and when you was coming through the second door, a bullet goes straight into him.Shepard runs over to him, and Garrus has a look of pain, raises his head, smiles and carries on, as Shepard gives him a friendly pat on the arm.
Awesome.
I also liked Jack's recruitment mission, and the side mission where you had to protect the Quarian from the Varren, just because of the cutscene at the end.

In fact, I liked most of the mission. But I did not like the Collector ship. Go die in a fire, Collector ship.

Oh, wait.

I liked pretty much everything but here were some highlights:
-Garrus' recruitment. Makes him so much more badass.
-Mordin's loyalty. Shows a lot more about him and makes him a complex character.
-Thane's loyalty. The good cop/bad cop part was cool.
-Zaeed's loyalty. So much action.

I'm actually finding trouble thinking of any missions I dislike, excluding the ones involving Collectors. Harbinger is so damn annoying on Insanity due to his constant biotic spam and never shutting up.
Quoted for truth. And it's not like you can mute your game or anything, because doing so means you might be handicapped in terms of hearing whether Harbinger's out there or if enemies are moving on your position. He just keeps talking. And talking. And talking. His constant babbling was the single most annoying factor in that damned Horizon colony mission. He never shuts up!

Hard to say. They were all enjoyable... But if I had to pick it would be recruiting Garrus or Tali.

The initial part of recruiting Garrus was nice, with the "last stand" feeling to it.

Tali's loyalty mission was just all-around fun. Shouting at people is always entertaining, but even more so when doing it to politicians.

Thane's loyalty mission is wickedly amusing.

The Collector ambush. I died so much, but it was intense. Plus, that's where I found my most beloved squadmate: the Widow Ant-Material Sniper Rifle.
Really? I found that sniper kind of dull, what with it's 1 bullet, reload, 1 bullet, reload. Wish they made the sniper rifles a bit better.
It's pretty much a one shot kill (3 shots for a heavy mech). It's the strongest non Heavy Weapon-class gun in the game.

Another level I enjoyed was Tali's recruitment. The sunlight stripping away your shields added new danger.

And of course, taking down that Thresher Maw on Tuchanka was thrilling.

I'm actually finding it difficult to pick one that stood out. I thought the entire game was exceptional. If pressed, I'd have to go with Garrus's recruitment mission. He was my favourite character in the original game as well and it showed how even more badass he'd become in the two years of Shepard's absence.

Bear in mind there are some scary bits where people do creep up behind you... but nothing that can't be solved by a shotgun blast to the face!

And this is why I love being an Engineer. Scions are completley locked down by combat drones, and they also confuse Praetorians. I've heard many people complain about the Scion ambush on Horizon, but I breezed through that on Insanity.
Infiltrators can also play mindgames with Praetorians, especially if you have Grunt in your party by the time you get to Horizon. You can simply take cover on one side of the map, and then have Grunt on the other side. As soon as the Praetorian starts firing at you, cloak, and it will go after Grunt, during which time you can whittle its health down with rifle bullets.

Enhanced Cloak saved my life SO many times on my Insanity playthrough. Which, incidentally, I started immediately after beating the game on casual. Jesus Christ, was THAT ever a baptism by fire.

So would you reccomend the Engineer for Insanity? I found the Sentinel great on hardcore, he's kind of a Jack of all trades and the instant shield boost saved my ass so many times.

Add Miranda and Grunt/Mordin and you got a well balanced team that can handle anything.
You can beat Insanity with any class. I'd choose the class you are most comfortable with.
